@TorontoMarlies Credit to Cleveland but the Marlies had chances to shoot and they kept looking for the cross crease play. Nice to see Danford play. Looks legit. Do or die Friday.

@DavHawk @ninafeelz Wasn’t he also in charge of 5 on 5 defence? Because he absolutely failed at that

It's just so sad to see Marner playing like this. Guy was a deer in the headlights in Toronto. He NEVER played at this level over the span of 9 years. Truly sad.

@logopatt Leafs PK was really good up to the tank. And he was very good as an analyst when the Leafs played TBay...and no he shouldn't be the next head coach. Fine as an assistant.

@BobBark11503563 @TLNdc You mean the same Red Wings that missed the playoffs with McLellan as head coach? Not saying he should be head coach but he's fine as an assistant.

I wonder what the NHL would do if the Oilers did what Vegas did..

Craig Berube is gone, which had to happen, but for some crybabies in this fanbase, it drives them absolutely nuts that the best team the Leafs have had in the last 20 years was built by Treliving and coached by Berube, last season. 🤷‍♂️#LeafsForever

@dstaples @MUngarian @TheCultofHockey Relieved of duty is not necessarily the same as being fired. "Fired" means your employment is permanently terminated "relieved of duty" means you have been temporarily removed from your specific role or assignment, pending an investigation or reassignment to a different position.

Bruce Cassidy helped Vegas win a Stanley Cup. Then Vegas fired him. Now they are going to block him from choosing his next job? Who would want to work for an organization defined by malice and ingratitude? And what kind of team owner or manager would want to invite that kind of wretched karma on themselves? If Vegas carries through on this threat and blocks Cassidy, good luck to them with the curse it will put on their franchise.

How is that not a penalty running over the goalie? Doesn't matter that Buffalo is down a goal late in Game 7. You can't let those go.

Sportsnet's Luke Fox revealed a story about Nylander and Berube late in the season, long after Auston Matthews was taken out for the year. Fox noted that Nylander wasn't playing with enough heart for Berube, who paused the drill and implored Nylander to try harder. Well, he didn't take too kindly to that and immediately fired a shot without a pass on the next go, completely spitting in the face of his coach's instructions: “I felt like there was a generational gap. I'll tell you a story. There was a practice at the end of the year when things started to go sideways and Nylander was coasting through the power-play drill, not passing the puck with purpose and not shooting it. Berube yells 'Willy shoot the puck! If you have a look, take a look and shoot!' They start again and he immediately shoots it. Doesn't even do the drill. Berube says 'Willy, stop being such a d-word', you know he tried to have fun but Nylander never took it seriously right?”

@HockeyPatrol Ya, well Nylander is the only guy who looks good in playoffs. He's probably had enough of this shit.

Evan Bouchard still hasn’t been on the ice for a GA for Canada at the IIHF World Championship. Based on statistics, he would’ve been a far more impactful addition for Canada at the Olympics than Cale Makar.
