It was wonderful. We 'had less' perhaps; but we didn't need much back then. We purchased only what we needed. Life was simple - and inexpensive. I remember only having 3 'sets' of clothes and 3 pairs of shoes. Very few toys because we didn't need them - we went outside to play. Most of us were 'rich' with family life - and people were happy and friendly.

Britain. 1967. And if we had much less than we have right now, in reality we were richer in so many other ways.

Do I live in a bubble ?? How is £35,000 in 2026 a GOOD salary? Is this a mindset thing? Are Brits living on happy shopper beans on toast, living in a single room? Or they must be living at home/ minimal bills. Do they not want more for themselves ?? Ambition and the desire to want a decent life is at an all time low in the U.K. 😟

@ColBwfc @JoshRf_YT @GJA69 The issue with this team is an inability to convert chances to goals. Cliche but goals change games. If we had taken our chances, results and performances immediately improve for the majority of our games. But we didn't. Which is why we're frustrated, inconsistent and fourth!

Social care costs can run £50-100k a year. A five year stay in a care home can wipe out the entire value of a property. The wealth transfer that an entire generation is counting on may never arrive

We came down with a bit of a plan to get promoted at the first time of asking. Employed a good manager, a few decent players and got the job done with ease Makes a mockery of how much we've struggled to get out of League One this time around
