Just really good quality food for starters. Either make it yourself (recipes online) or seek alternatives. I subsidized mine with Ollie, Farmers Dog (frozen), and Dr. Marty (Freeze dried) and Badlands Ranch (air dried), there are a lot of good companies that are now offering alternatives. Kibble is so bad for them because it’s processed at very high heat and destroys all the nutrients, then they add crap ingredients and questionable chemicals/ additives. I agree with another post that you should try ivermectin. I gave my 80 pound golden a pea size amount of the “horse paste”… 5 days on, 5 days off for about a month. The tumor on her neck (the size of an orange) gradually went down and totally disappeared. Never to return. You will know pretty fast if it’s working because they just act like they feel better. I would encourage you to read as much as you can online about ivermectin and Fenben protocols for dogs with cancer. This tumor epidemic should not be happening to our Golden‘s as much as it is. Somethings terribly wrong. I am convinced it’s diet and the horrible food additives, plus all the unnecessary “preventative” shots and prescriptions that the vets are $ubsidized to sell. Cancer is big business for Big Pharma and vets - medications, surgeries and chemo. The pet insurance companies are getting in on the action too - with high premiums and high deductibles.🤬

My Golden lived to over 15 after starting her on IVM protocol 3 years prior, after all the vet could talk about was more tumor biopsies/extractions surgeries and regular intervals of chemo (the investment in those alone would have been $25K+ - IF the chemo didn’t kill her first 😡). I changed her diet, stopped all the “extra” shots and RX that vets always push, which just stress out older dogs immune systems anyway. Had her titer tested for immunity levels that showed she was protected (instead of blindly shooting her full of unnecessary boosters). Sadly, the paradigm shift that needs to occur within the medical profession applies to veterinary medicine as well. She (and we) were blessed that she lived an active healthy life right up until the end at over 15. Prayers for your fur baby. 🙏🏼🥹
