I have spoken to the protesters today. They are willing to allow 10 loads of fuel out of Whitegate today for emergency services. This could increase tomorrow if there are positive results from the talks today. The government must engage.

@DaveDalyFM @culladgh @GardaTraffic The IFA and IRHA don't represent any of those protesting. Many small hauliers don't qualify for a haulage license and therefore don't qualify for rebates. The tax on fuel simply needs to be cut.

Debenham workers had everything to lose. Their livelihoods and their redundancy. They were dragged and beaten by Gardaí. Farmers aren't above criticism or the law, they are backed to the hilt by unions, government ministers (Healy-Raes) and TDs. They get vast sums from the EU

@DaveDalyFM @culladgh @GardaTraffic That's a very odd take. Do you realise what happens if nothing is done about the current fuel prices? Farmers and hauliers will be out of business within weeks. Supermarket shelves will be empty. You won't be able to put food on your table. You won't eat.
