@Logecamps I'm trying to get a refund for a booking in Breckenridge from almost a month ago (that was rebooked - so I was charged double). They don't answer or return calls. Please help!

@jckarter @CoreSerena @NathanBLawrence Autofill? What do you want to fill in? I have a Services item that fills in a sequence of numbers into a multicursor selection. Is that what you want?

Xcode 14 Beta 3 also adds a feature I've certainly heard a few people ask for: You can now duplicate code you've selected by using Edit > Duplicate, or the keyboard shortcut ⌘D. If you haven't selected anything, Xcode duplicates the whole line.

@EthanLipnik @bzamayo In a type conforming to Codable (or just Encodable), typing "encode" should give you the stuff. (Unless you've already implemented it!)

@DaveEwing @bzamayo Oh, must be a bit buggy then since it hasn’t done so for me. That’s great news though!

@bzamayo Probably my favorite feature from Xcode 14. I’ve done this countless times and now it’s mostly automated. Wish it also did encodable as well

I’m obsessed with little improvements to code completion and the Xcode source editor. This year I pushed for auto indentation on closing a closure, improvements to completing functions that have default values, and more… 👇🏻

@christian_beer @edwardsanchez It would be awesome if you could file a bug for this. A simple screen shot isn't enough to investigate what's going on, but we can address getting more info through the feedback process. Thanks!

@inamiy Yeah. We enhanced the parsing rules (in SE-0354) so that would continue to work, but it was too late for updating it in the editor.

I was a bit afraid of Swift CasePath `/` prefix syntax may get affected by the new Regex syntax... And here it is: a new syntax color 🫠 Luckily, compile still works though.

@dish_answers I'm trying to cancel my service after ~25 years. Your phone support is terrible, web chat is broken. I'd like an email address for support.

@vatsal_manot But "DemoDocument" being colored on that property declaration is a weird. I'm surprised that it's wrong in both 12.5 and 13. "document" is the declaration, and "DemoDocument" is a type reference. Worth another FB!

@DaveEwing It seems like the definition/meaning of a "Type Declaration" has changed? This is Xcode 12.5 for instance.

@vatsal_manot Xcode 12.5 was broken in this case. The struct and extension names should both have been colored. Fixed in 13.

@vatsal_manot These are definitely bugs, and worth specific reports: developer.apple.com/bug-reporting/ It's actually more useful to separate the Coloring and Jump To bugs into two reports. (You don't have to, but it makes them easier to track. And they're almost certainly have different causes.)

@vatsal_manot Preferences for coloring is really subjective. We don't give infinite options, and for some, we give too many. In this case, coloring declarations sounds like something you don't want (and we don't let you turn it off).

@vatsal_manot In both those cases, it's the "Type Declarations" that are colored differently than the references. That matches what you showed for your prefs.

@NathanBLawrence BTW, I worked on that version. I started at Apple the year before MacOS X first shipped. But what should I work on when I grow up???

I love text/code editors. The first Mac app I ever wrote (with the very dev tools you see here!) was a text editor, and I've always wanted to work on one as a "grown-up." Well, at the end of August, I'll get to do that — I'll be starting work at Apple on the Xcode Source Editor.

@DaveEwing Hey Dave! Thank you so much for reaching out, we would be happy to assist you. To complete an unregistration we will need to gather some information from the thermostat. The entire process could take up to 20 minutes, is that something you have time for now? Thank you! ~Casandra
