Satire must not serve as a shield for content that incites or trivializes violence against our nation's leaders. Such broadcasts do not serve the public; rather, they undermine national stability and public safety. I urge the Commission to: 1. Investigate whether this broadcast violates NBC’s duty to the public interest. 2. Review NBC’s compliance with broadcast standards. 3. Apply appropriate penalties to ensure that public airwaves are not used to promote or make light of political assassination.
