In The Oz today is a story about how @BrittHiggins_ was ‘exploited’ by some sections of media for a story. And without a hint of irony, they publish Brittany’s private diary entries -that were given to police and never tendered to court as evidence ie never made public. Shameful.

@bendorries76 Ask the winner of the Slipper and they’ll tell you whatever they paid was a bargain. A few others, maybe not. But keep in mind, there’s usually an underbidder who thought it was worth nearly as much.

I wonder what the average Aussie would think about the current yearling prices? Is it a bad thing for the future of racing because it makes the sport appear so elitist (maybe it is) & our of reach of the average person? Be hard to get a start as a trainer for most young people.

@allovertheform That’s the thing....with these prices & escalating costs of training a ROI is getting less likely so I think you’re completely wrong. & how does that help young people trying to break in to the industry?
