These headlines are so strange man. Basically saying, "Tonight proved that the GOP is still a cult of personality that has no policy, no agenda, no vision beyond servility to Donald Trump." Yes. It has been that way for years, and his stranglehold on the party has only grown stronger because most normal, sane, principled Republicans have been purged, which has happened at the same time that the majority of Americans have soured on Trump and the GOP. "Trump flexed his grip on the GOP" is like writing "Jim Jones flexed his grip on Jonestown."
