It is idolatry! Why do you keep running from Kelly Powers (@KellyPowersBPA) who has publicly challenged you to a debate?

@IsTruth86582 They take it, adore it, push it up to heaven, pull down Jesus, re-sacrifice him again, and distribute his body for consumption.
Hell gets 10 degrees hotter for every "Eucharist" you take.

@p3driver @PastorAwes I didn’t “miss” anything, and thanks for the compliment about my intelligence, that was very kind.

@Dave_1097_Code4 @PastorAwes Hmmm, missed the Bible verse, smart guy

Catholics will bow down before statues and with a straight face tell you they’re not violating this commandment. Spiritual blindness is a hell of a punishment by God!
“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;”
Exodus 20:4-5 KJV

@FancyABQ @GryphiusEitel @mrlawrencelopez @farmingandJesus But why? Why do you not believe any of that?

Here are some of the Roman Catholic teachings Protestants reject as false:
The Assumption of Mary.
The Immaculate Conception of Mary.
Mary as Queen of Heaven.
Mary as Mediatrix or Co-Redemptrix in any meaningful sense.
Prayer to Mary and the saints.
The veneration of relics.
The use of images in devotion in ways that function like religious invocation.
Papal infallibility.
The infallibility of the Roman Magisterium.
The claim that Rome is the one true Church in a way that excludes faithful Protestant churches.
The claim that the pope is the visible head of the whole Church.
The claim that bishops in communion with Rome possess unique apostolic succession necessary for the fullness of the Church.
The sacrificial understanding of the Mass.
The idea that priests have power to make Christ substantially present on the altar at every Mass.
Transubstantiation.
Eucharistic adoration.
The withholding of the cup from the laity as a historical practice.
The claim that baptism regenerates ex opere operato.
The sacrament of penance as necessary for restoration after mortal sin.
Priestly absolution as a judicial act that remits sin.
The distinction between mortal and venial sin as Rome defines it.
Purgatory.
Indulgences.
The treasury of merit.
The application of the merits of Mary and the saints to other believers.
The idea that justification includes infused righteousness as the ground of acceptance before God.
The denial of justification by faith alone.
The denial that the imputed righteousness of Christ is sufficient for the believer’s standing before God.
The claim that final justification is based, in part, on Spirit-wrought works as the believer’s righteousness before God.
The idea that grace can be lost and regained through the sacramental system.
The claim that Scripture and unwritten tradition together form one binding deposit interpreted infallibly by Rome.
The claim that the Apocrypha belongs to the Old Testament canon.
The dogmatic authority of later Marian doctrines that are absent from Scripture.
The claim that the Roman Church can define dogma that all Christians must believe even when that doctrine lacks clear biblical warrant.
This is why most remain Protestant. The Reformation was not a rebellion against grace. It was a recovery of grace. It was not a rejection of the Church. It was a call for the Church to submit again to the Word of God that teaches: Christ alone is the mediator; Scripture alone is the final authority; Grace alone saves; Faith alone receives Christ, and God alone receives the glory.

@JimSanoBC79 @Truth_matters20 The ones that say, "they're in Christ" is the correct one.

Catholics often claim that if you study “Church history,” you’ll become Catholic. What they rarely mention is that this same history includes the bloody Inquisition and the persecution of countless Christians who refused to bow to Rome.
Notice the sleight of hand: the issue isn’t merely studying their version of “church history,” but studying Christian history in its entirety not just through the lens of one institution’s biased narrative.

@PastorAwes Glad to see you’re in a proper church. You’re just giving out bad information and lies. You shouldn’t do that in God’s presence. 🙏🏼
