Games I beat in 2026: 1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Remastered (PlayStation 5) Pro: engaging shooting gameplay, graphically impressive, memorable characters Con: most terrible crushing difficulty since the first game, not a fan of semi-open world zone in the mid-game 9/10

Sony are in a tricky spot because they are essentially stuck between a rock and a hard place. They have conditioned their audience to expect highly graphical cinematic games yet that isn't really sustainable with the cost of development as it is (and only rising) Astro Bot is my favorite Sony game of all time and I personally would prefer they pulled back on the scale a bit on their games but sales show that isn't what the PS audience wants. The cost of game development essentially doubles every generation so I have no idea how Sony is going to manage these massive budgets in the PS6 generation. Given the size of Naughty Dog now, salaries in LA being so high, the amount of time it's been in development, plus overheads and marketing I could easily see Intergalactic costing over $400 million.

@megalarper Tbf it’s usually for gameplay reasons not just for presentation reasons, on the idea that the three games combat/exploration are unintuitive and slow compared to the modern titles. Persona 1 also has the issue of its “definitive” version (PS1 with old OST) never being translated
