@Coastway_Will I do not blame Eurostar,. Since the UK voted for Brexit and thus to reduce freedom of travel between the UK and the rest of Europe it's our fault. It's all very sad but as the French would say, c'est la vie. 😡

🖊️ Write to your MP: Save ticket offices! Ticket offices are critical for safety, security, and accessibility. Threats to close nearly 1,000 ticket offices are designed to protect the profits of the train companies and cut the jobs of loyal staff. actionnetwork.org/letters/write-…

@1066shrimprail Most of today's trains cancelled. I think there are replacement buses but on a busy Sunday it's all chaotic! 🚂🚃🚃

I'm not the only historian of modern Germany to find that the UK government scheme to deport asylum seekers to a tropical part of Africa irresistibly reminds them of the failed Nazi scheme to deport Jews to Madagascar.

@timalmond @BenRamanauskas Well, given a choice I certainly wouldn't move there. Be like being exiled, and I assume these qualified people can pick and choose.

This is ridiculous. Not great money for an important job and the person would have to live in Darlington! Not going to get decent people applying.

Senate Republicans have blocked a House-passed bill aimed at preserving access to an abortion nationwide. The legislation failed to advance in a 46-48 vote. cnn.it/35xMBe2

@marshlinktrains @transportgovuk Ashford Semi International. All that money spent on the new station and it's been one long period of decline to the current state of no Eurostars calling. The appalling link into East Sussex is another story. Kent had a direct link with HS1 from day one, E Sussex poor relation.

Northern Ireland in the single market and customs union is largely free from shortages of road haulage drivers, petrol, lack of carbon dioxide and some foodstuffs. There are advantages in the Northern Ireland protocol - its unionist politicians might note.

An exercise of totally pointless statistics If you are travelling by EV around the country you need access to Rapid charges. In @reigatebanstead there are just 4 Rapid Chargers (UK 4k of 24k or 20k useless), that is a failure of Government to encourage use of EVs #MustDoBetter
Rt Hon Sir Grant Shapps@grantshapps

Stats out today show there are now 24,374 public electric vehicle charging devices in the UK 🔌, which are helping to support the #EV revolution. Find out more 👇 gov.uk/government/sta…
