@MoldyPotato5 @UhKnope Honestly I think basically every fruit has the potential to be S tier. If you get a perfectly ripe one that’s a really tasty variety then it’s just a beautiful thing. But yes lemon is an S tier basically always to me.

@OrcusVaruna @PaulTassi I always thought they could do more things with the dunking of motes mechanic than just make enemies appear. Like make physical changes to the other map like shifting of objects or activating some laser grids etc.

@Davetb2 @PaulTassi Agreed, when I first played gambit I was like so into memorizing pathing, invader spawns, etc. It just had some glaring flaws that needed to be iterated and refined. Would have made for awesome twitch tournaments.

@OrcusVaruna @PaulTassi Bungie have so often come up with good ideas. Then instead of proper investment into their future they do a tiny tuning to it, which doesn’t make more people play it so they then totally abandon it. Onslaught and gambit are tragedies in lost potential.

They didn’t need a new PvP IP. They just needed to invest in Destiny’s PVP (maps and modes) and actually iterate on Gambit (a hill I’ll die on: it was a 10/10 idea). Instead they left both to rot while chasing a competitive extraction shooter that barely anyone asked for.
As a 10k+ hour PvPer, I just wanted real focus on Crucible balance and weapon/ability tuning. If that was impossible, a breakaway competitive F2P hero/arena shooter reusing D2 assets and models with dedicated servers would’ve fit what they do best way better and cost far less than $250mn to make…

@JoeMerrick It’s now really common on these larger sets on a single pack that I get to the end of the month and still don’t have even half the ex’s - just the base versions. So I never really get to play with the new things

Talk to me, which one do you prefer? Any specific reasons why? Look, feel, sound? Both are kinetic 120, so if you don't particularly lean one way or the other no worries.

I will forever love The Legend of Korra. Nickelodeon still has to hold this L to this day for poorly mishandling LOK. Putting it in different time slots, not promoting it and moving it to the website. We STILL watched regardless of all that...and it's still relevant today.

I'm seeing people argue in the replies of this post that Wind Waker Ganon is still pure evil - I disagree. The game clearly WANTS to frame him that way, but it fails horribly; Ganon's goal to restore Hyrule, his decision to spare Link's life after taking his Triforce of Courage, and the love he expresses for the bounty of Hyrule all paint him as morally grey at worst but honestly: kind of good at best. Had Ganon gotten his way, Hyrule would have been restored, the current age of anarchy would end, and the people of the Great Sea would once again prosper in verdant fields of green. But because King Daphnes got his hands on the Triforce instead, Hyrule was lost forever, and it would take hundreds of years for a new kingdom to be established in a far-off land. Think of all the many generations of Hylians who lived a life of hardship on the ocean during that time, and realize that every single one of them could have had a better life had Ganon got his wish to restore Hyrule. It can be a real boon for a story to give its villain some semblance of relatability and human motivations. But Wind Waker took this too far and made its version of Ganondorf so morally grey that he actually presented a better future than what the main protagonists were offering. So as hilarious as the below image may be: the fact that it actually applies to Wind Waker Ganon shows the weakness of that game's writing more succinctly than any 5-hour critique on the matter ever could.

Absolutely crazy console generation.
I paid €470 for PS5 Disc Slim in February 2024.
Middle and lower class incomes will be priced out of console gaming at this rate, while it used to be an affordable entry into the world of videogames.

@JakeSucky Whist Marathon isnt for me I want it to do well. But I do understand why bungie has so little good will. My Mum’s always said you can inspire resentment or loyalty. And bungie has far too often fostered the former.

@KahliefAdams Agreed. Many of the streamers for Destiny clearly stopped enjoying the game years ago. Then they all started just sharing each others stuff. And then their guides got worse and worse as they were all racing to get them out first - they often come out with mistakes now.

Outside of the Marathon vs Arc convo. I think this is a perfect reflection of the way streaming (especially from larger creators) is no longer about taste making and way more about trend following which is why I’m losing interest in the space as a viewer. It used to be super fun to find diamonds in the rough, but it just continues to be the same folks playing the same games with the same group of people. It’s kinda boring.
