Not sure what to make of the Dante Stakes, Item looked an impressive winner but nothing seemed to get into the race bar him and Action. Christmas Day just couldn’t go with them and Morshdi was rather disappointing.

He’s up and he’s walked away thankfully!

Galeron has reared up on the walk into the paddock and has fell into a hedge and managed to get his head stuck! Screens are up and they are reportedly trying to move the railings in order to get him out safely. Really nasty incident, hopefully he’ll be okay!

Toca Madera was drawn near the winner but didn’t have the pace required to follow that one in and finished in the midfield.

Fireblade is now a non-runner due to kicking out in the stalls.

Pedigree suggested Cut A Dash would have a good chance in the first at this trip and duly obliged. The favourite Varzi will be a nice horse in time but clearly needs further than this 5f. Front three pulled clear there, not sure how strong that form will be but we’ll soon see.

No you’re not being a prick at all, your point is very valid and I fully understand where you are coming from! These bets are just extras that didn’t quite make the cut for my tips, I post fun bets all the time like on boxing nights or the odd football bet builder, they are strictly fun/extra bets for anyone who’d want some more bets for big events like today is at York. I post fun bets like these during the big meetings or weekends as some of my followers like to know what else I fancy on days like these and a lot of people usually follow the whole race card on big days so I give the chance to my followers to choose if they want follow onto my extras or not. I always label them as strictly fun bets so no one can get them mixed up with my actual tips which are, and will always be, in my telegram. & Of course if I do get a winner from these, it doesn’t go down on my P/L. I appreciate the comment and concern and believe me when I say I will never let my tips become as undisciplined and erratic as they were before!

@Daveys_Tips After your speech yesterday regarding charging due to being a massive loss, do you think fun bets is a wise idea? This isn’t me being a prick, but to change you need to become disciplined within gambling.

@st1llD3 That was the issue, I went back into my old style/ways and it’s just been a car crash ever since. I’ve had a few people say it might not be for me, and yeah there is no shame in it, it’s a tough old game. However I’m extremely dedicated and determined to turn this fully around!

@Daveys_Tips Mate, with the greatest of respect, you pretty much said the same thing last year and ended up going back to same style. Maybe it’s just not for you? No shame in it, fella.

As you all know, things just haven’t gone our way this year. Too many bad tips from me that I can only apologise for. From this day on, I’m going to change the way I tip. There won’t be many multis at all, the out-lay of points and selections will be significantly less and the average odds tipped will be higher than has been the case in recent times. This change has to be made, the way I was doing things before simply wasn’t working and not profitable in the slightest, and unfortunately I’ve learnt that the hard way. I thank every one of you for still being here and I appreciate those of you who’s supporting of me and has offered me advice over this very tough period. Hopefully with these few tweaks, we can get back into the form that I know I can hit. No tips for today, onto tomorrow!🫡

@Daveys_Tips One thing I'd say is forget the odds bit. Go into every race with zero pressure planned thoughts on which end of the market you want to play at. You might find a brilliant 4-1 shot, or it might be 33, but if you go in thinking you have to pick higher, or lower, you aren't
