Here's my take. Trump trying to use the Falklands as leverage against Britain is not a smart move. I have huge respect for America and many good friends across the pond, and I would still vote for Trump RIGHT NOW. But this kind of pressure will only damage the Special Relationship even further, and we all know Starmer has already done enough damage on his own. The lefties in Britain already hate America and Trump - this won’t change that. The real danger is that patriotic Brits will start turning against you too. This needs to be thought out properly, by all sides. The British people will not tolerate this.
British Intel@TheBritishIntel

I said it then. I'll say it again The Falklands are British territory - defended with British blood in 1982. We are being openly tested because they sense weakness in London. Britain must make it crystal clear: The Falklands are ours and will remain ours forever.

@MadDogBrit The thing is mate, have you seen the state of our navy and airforce? It’s been cut to its knees by consecutive governments. I doubt we would be able to recapture or it would be costly

Argentina and their supporters keep pushing the “it’s closer to us” geography argument for the Falklands. Fine. Let’s play that game. By that logic: - Taiwan belongs to China - Gibraltar belongs to Spain - Ceuta and Melilla belong to Morocco - Alaska belongs to Russia - Texas belongs to Mexico - The Channel Islands belong to France - Northern Ireland belongs to Ireland Geography-only logic is a hell of a drug. The Falklands are British because the people who live there are British, have been for generations, and voted 99.8% to remain British. We fought and bled for those islands in 1982. They are British. Full stop. No apologies. No surrender.

This is a victory for the United States that President Trump and our incredible military made happen. From the very beginning of Operation Epic Fury, President Trump estimated this would be a 4-6 week operation. Thanks to the unbelievable capabilities of our warriors, we have achieved and exceeded our core military objectives in 38 days. More on that tomorrow morning from @SecWar and Chairman Caine! The success of our military created maximum leverage, allowing President Trump and the team to engage in tough negotiations that have now created an opening for a diplomatic solution and long-term peace. Additionally, President Trump got the Strait of Hormuz reopened. Never underestimate President Trump’s ability to successfully advance America’s interests and broker peace.

@VeryBrexitProbs Bruh is hiding behind nukes that probably aren’t even real if Russia wanted to take Europe they would do so but the U.S is there so that’s why they haven’t attacked yet but as soon as the U.S leaves which is highly likely Russia will invade western Europe and the Baltics.

The **United States** provided significant but mostly covert and indirect support to the **United Kingdom** during the 1982 Falklands War (also known as the Malvinas War), after Argentina invaded the British-held islands on April 2, 1982. While the UK fought the war alone with its own task force and troops, the US "tilted" toward Britain after initial shuttle diplomacy failed. This support proved valuable in intelligence, logistics, and some materiel, though British officials emphasized that the vast majority (around 90%) of their equipment and efforts were their own.2 ### Diplomatic and Political Support - President **Ronald Reagan** initially pursued neutrality and mediation through Secretary of State **Alexander Haig**, who shuttled between London and Buenos Aires to seek a peaceful resolution (e.g., proposals for interim administration of the islands).3 - On April 30, 1982, after Argentina rejected proposals, the Reagan administration publicly announced support for the UK, suspended military and economic aid to Argentina, and imposed some sanctions. This was a key "tilt" influenced by strong ties with the UK as a NATO ally and concerns over the Argentine junta's aggression.10 - There was bipartisan US backing, including from figures like then-Senator Joe Biden. Defense Secretary **Caspar Weinberger** was a strong advocate for aiding Britain, reportedly instructing to "give Maggie [Thatcher] everything she needs."12 ### Intelligence Support (One of the Most Critical Areas) The US shared substantial intelligence via the **Five Eyes** partnership (involving the NSA and UK's GCHQ): - **Signals intelligence (SIGINT)**: The NSA provided near real-time intercepts and helped break or supplement British efforts on Argentine communications. This aided in protecting British aircraft carriers and tracking enemy movements.0 - **Satellite imagery and reconnaissance**: The National Reconnaissance Office redirected a spy satellite (originally tracking Soviets) to monitor the South Atlantic. The US provided detailed imagery of Argentine positions on the Falklands, South Georgia, and surrounding waters. (Note: The US also supplied some similar imagery to Argentina under a pre-existing agreement, but the British benefited more directly.) - Additional inputs came from the CIA, including on Argentine plans and intentions. This intelligence helped British commanders, such as during operations like the Battle of Goose Green.5 ### Logistical and Base Support - The US allowed full use of the joint US-UK airbase on **Ascension Island** (a British territory in the mid-Atlantic, roughly halfway to the Falklands). This became a vital staging point for the British task force, with the US providing aviation fuel (e.g., 1.5 million gallons as part of routine agreements) and logistical facilities. The base saw intense activity supporting RAF operations, including Vulcan bomber raids.2 - British ships and aircraft could use certain US bases or facilities more broadly. - The US offered KC-135

Britain supported the US with hundreds of thousands of troops in the Korean War, Gulf War, Iraq War, Afghanistan War - and more indirectly. But when literal British territory was invaded in the Falklands, where the fuck were they? Fuck off you fat old orange cunt.

The F-35 was supposed to be unkillable. That was the whole point. Lockheed Martin spent thirty years and four hundred billion dollars, the most expensive weapons programme in human history, building an aircraft that the enemy simply could not see. Not on radar. Not on infrared. Not on anything. The F-35 was not just a fighter jet. It was a theological statement. America’s way of saying: we have moved beyond the reach of your missiles, your sensors, and your prayers. Iran apparently didn’t get the memo. Somewhere over Iranian airspace on March 19, 2026, an IRST system, infrared search and track, the kind of sensor your grandmother could probably explain, looked up, found the F-35, and locked on. Not because Iranian engineers are geniuses. Because the F-35, it turns out, is extremely hot. All that engine. All that thrust. All that carefully sculpted stealth geometry, and the bloody thing glows like a kettle. The heat signature data Iran now holds is not just embarrassing. It is a gift that keeps giving. To Moscow. To Beijing. To every procurement ministry on the planet that has been quietly wondering whether to spend the money on systems designed to kill this aircraft. The answer, as of this week, is yes. And here is the bit that should really worry the Pentagon. You can patch software. You can redesign coatings. You cannot reprogramme a pilot’s brain. Every F-35 driver who takes off from here on knows, actually knows, that someone down there might be able to see them. That changes everything about how they fly. Caution replaces aggression. Hesitation replaces instinct. Four hundred billion dollars. And in the end, it was done in by a heat sensor. Tremendous. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

Trump says Britain “joins wars after America has already won.” What an insult. In 1940 Britain stood alone against Nazi Germany while America was still neutral. At Dunkirk, 338,000 Allied soldiers were rescued under constant bombing. Britain lost huge amounts of equipment just to keep fighting. And Britain didn’t fight alone. The British Indian Army had 2.5 million volunteers the largest volunteer force in history. Soldiers from India, Africa, Canada, Australia and New Zealand fought and died defeating fascism. Meanwhile in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire (1943) American military police tried to enforce segregation on Black US soldiers. Local Brits refused. One soldier was killed in the confrontation. So spare us the lectures. Britain has fought and bled for freedom for generations. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
