The @BalaamBarugahar train got to Namisindwa…A wooden bridge that cost 60m. He also found someone who was given money to buy land to construct a town council office. The Jama said the had was bought the land 40m. Those who sold the land said he was meant to pay 12m of which he only paid them 8m. These are the government workers we have. There also 100 million to start the construction which began a day before Balaam showed up. I now know who people are fighting this train.

Just a day ago, there were warnings about the dangerous transportation of schoolchildren. Today, our nation is mourning another heartbreaking tragedy.
I believe it is time for the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Works and Transport, the Uganda Police, and all school proprietors to urgently review the safety of school tours and educational trips.
If necessary, school trips should be temporarily suspended while comprehensive safety measures are reviewed and strengthened.

Today Morning , I intercepted a school van transporting pupils under dangerously overcrowded conditions. This is a stark reminder of how road negligence threatens our most vulnerable. Our children's safety is non-negotiable. I have called on traffic police to strictly enforce safety regulations and clamp down on school vehicle overloading. To school proprietors, headteachers, and drivers: our children are not cargo. They are the future of Uganda. Take full responsibility for their safety. No convenience is worth a child’s life. Let’s choose safety, always.
