Let Us Pray: Kentucky College Student Fired for Sharing Her Christian Beliefs “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9 Paige Rogers is a nineteen-year-old student at Boyce College, which is a Christian college in Louisville. She started working at Heine Brothers Coffee as a part-time barista in November of 2024. However, she was abruptly fired in October of 2025. Her firing was because of a conversation she had with another co-worker during a shift. During that conversation, Paige was asked direct questions about her Christian views on marriage, human sexuality, and other similar topics. Paige answered the questions honestly from a Christian worldview. She said, “I answered her questions truthfully and respectfully, sharing my personal, religious beliefs as a Christian.” The human resources department contacted Paige less than two weeks later through a text message informing her that she had been fired. The text message read, “It was reported and confirmed that you engaged in conversations in the workplace where you expressed religious beliefs in a manner that was unwelcome and offensive to others. These conversations created discomfort among team members and contributed to a work environment inconsistent with our company values and code of conduct.” Just days ago, with the help of First Liberty Institute and the law firm, Sturgill Turner, Paige filed a charge of religious discrimination against the coffee chain with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights. Paige should never have been fired for sharing her Christian beliefs with another co-worker, especially since the co-worker is the one who initiated the conversation by asking pointed questions. Cliff Martin, senior counsel at First Liberty Institute, put it best in a recent statement, "No employee should have to hide their faith in order to keep their job." Paige faithfully fulfilled her Biblical command to “speak the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15), and she serves as an example of how believers in Christ are to share His truth whenever an opportunity to do so presents itself. LET US PRAY… Father, we praise You for the courage of Paige Rogers who did not shrink back from Biblical truth when asked pointed questions from her co-worker about topics of marriage and human sexuality. Lord, we pray for her legal team as they represent her and defend her First Amendment rights. Father, we pray for a legal victory in this case, which will be a victory for Paige and for free speech. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

No @AndyBeshearKY, talk therapy that expresses the truth of Scripture on God's design of male and female is not torture. Speaking truth is an act of love. Biblical counseling is not torture - your support of transgender mutilation of children is the real torture.

Big victory today! Great work by @ADFLegal. And another reminder why the KY General Assembly was right to repeal @GovAndyBeshear’s unconstitutional “conversion therapy” ban last session. Our Governor has a long history of lawlessness…

🚨Major victory for free speech & religious liberty! U.S. Supreme Court rules in favor of Christian counselor in challenge of Colorado’s ban on Christian counseling. Decision was 8-1 with Justice Gorsuch writing for the majority. #ChilesvSalazar

One year ago, my friend and colleague @realBillWesley was assaulted for keeping a man out of the girl’s bathroom while a little girl was in the bathroom. I still commend his bravery.

Another example of why the #KYGA26 should strengthen religious liberty and pass HB 170 by @realTJRoberts. It's also a reminder why we must repeal Louisville's, and every other local unconstitutional "fairness" ordinance.

Let Us Pray: Louisville to Pay $800K After Court Upholds First Amendment Rights “For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.” – Deuteronomy 20:4 Chelsey Nelson owned a photography studio in Louisville where most of her work is wedding photography. Chelsey holds to a Biblical view of marriage, that marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman. Because of this, she only provides services for weddings that align with her biblical convictions. Unfortunately, a Louisville LGBTQ “fairness” ordinance prohibited Nelson from expressing her Biblical views on marriage on her studio’s website. The ordinance also tried to force Nelson to provide services for gay couples, which contradicts her religious conviction. In 2019, attorneys from Alliance Defending Freedom filed the lawsuit Chelsey Nelson Photography v. Louisville-Jefferson County Metro Government to protect and defend her First Amendment rights. Thankfully, last year, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky upheld Nelson’s religious freedom. The crucial ruling protects Chelsey’s right to communicate messages that are derived from her deeply held religious convictions without fear of governmental intrusion or retaliation. Furthermore, the court ruled that the city of Louisville must pay nominal damages for obstructing her freedom of speech. Just days ago, the city of Louisville agreed to pay $800,000 in attorneys’ fees for violating Chelsey’s First Amendment rights. Praise God that Chelsey can now put this infringement behind her for good, and that we can celebrate with her that we still live in a country where we can live out our faith without fear. LET US PRAY… Father, we praise You for the courage of Chelsey Nelson and the strength that she has displayed in standing strong for Your truth about marriage. Lord, we praise You for this monumental court victory that upholds and protects our First Amendment rights. Lord, we praise You that this lawsuit has concluded with our First Amendment rights protected. Father, may we never take our precious First Amendment rights for granted and always stand in defense of them. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

A New Mexico jury found Meta guilty of failing to protect children from sexual predators. Cases like this are why HB 227, sponsored by Rep. Matt Lockett, are so necessary. Our children need your help to ensure that they are protected on these social media platforms! Call your senators and voice your support for HB 227. nypost.com/2026/03/24/bus…

Great News! KY Senate passes HB 1 by a bipartisan vote of 33-5, sending the bill to the governor's desk. HB 1 would opt Kentucky into the new federal education tax credit program. We urge the governor to sign this commonsense bill.
