Ten Commandments Monument Restored to the Kentucky Capitol Grounds! “We are thrilled to see the historic Ten Commandments monument returned to its proper place on the grounds of the Kentucky Capitol. I am grateful to State Rep. Shane Baker and the Kentucky House and Senate for passing HJR 15 to restore this important monument. The Ten Commandments has had an immense impact on American history and on the legal and moral principles that made our country and Commonwealth so strong throughout history. Today is a great day for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and I pray that the Lord will use this monumental and historic occasion to lead Kentuckians back to the Biblical principles and values that our society was built upon." - TFF Exec. Director @DavidBWalls Read our full statement: kentuckyfamily.org/ten-commandmen…

Let Us Pray: Kentucky College Student Fired for Sharing Her Christian Beliefs “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9 Paige Rogers is a nineteen-year-old student at Boyce College, which is a Christian college in Louisville. She started working at Heine Brothers Coffee as a part-time barista in November of 2024. However, she was abruptly fired in October of 2025. Her firing was because of a conversation she had with another co-worker during a shift. During that conversation, Paige was asked direct questions about her Christian views on marriage, human sexuality, and other similar topics. Paige answered the questions honestly from a Christian worldview. She said, “I answered her questions truthfully and respectfully, sharing my personal, religious beliefs as a Christian.” The human resources department contacted Paige less than two weeks later through a text message informing her that she had been fired. The text message read, “It was reported and confirmed that you engaged in conversations in the workplace where you expressed religious beliefs in a manner that was unwelcome and offensive to others. These conversations created discomfort among team members and contributed to a work environment inconsistent with our company values and code of conduct.” Just days ago, with the help of First Liberty Institute and the law firm, Sturgill Turner, Paige filed a charge of religious discrimination against the coffee chain with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights. Paige should never have been fired for sharing her Christian beliefs with another co-worker, especially since the co-worker is the one who initiated the conversation by asking pointed questions. Cliff Martin, senior counsel at First Liberty Institute, put it best in a recent statement, "No employee should have to hide their faith in order to keep their job." Paige faithfully fulfilled her Biblical command to “speak the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15), and she serves as an example of how believers in Christ are to share His truth whenever an opportunity to do so presents itself. LET US PRAY… Father, we praise You for the courage of Paige Rogers who did not shrink back from Biblical truth when asked pointed questions from her co-worker about topics of marriage and human sexuality. Lord, we pray for her legal team as they represent her and defend her First Amendment rights. Father, we pray for a legal victory in this case, which will be a victory for Paige and for free speech. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Our statement on today's big U.S. Supreme Court victory for free speech & religious liberty in Chiles v. Salazar: This important ruling from the Supreme Court ensures that Christians may practice their faith openly in the counseling world without threat of punishment from the government. God calls on Christians to live out their faith in the public square, and people of faith have the First Amendment right to live up to that calling. - @DavidBWalls kentuckyfamily.org/victory-for-fr…

Let Us Pray: Louisville to Pay $800K After Court Upholds First Amendment Rights “For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.” – Deuteronomy 20:4 Chelsey Nelson owned a photography studio in Louisville where most of her work is wedding photography. Chelsey holds to a Biblical view of marriage, that marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman. Because of this, she only provides services for weddings that align with her biblical convictions. Unfortunately, a Louisville LGBTQ “fairness” ordinance prohibited Nelson from expressing her Biblical views on marriage on her studio’s website. The ordinance also tried to force Nelson to provide services for gay couples, which contradicts her religious conviction. In 2019, attorneys from Alliance Defending Freedom filed the lawsuit Chelsey Nelson Photography v. Louisville-Jefferson County Metro Government to protect and defend her First Amendment rights. Thankfully, last year, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky upheld Nelson’s religious freedom. The crucial ruling protects Chelsey’s right to communicate messages that are derived from her deeply held religious convictions without fear of governmental intrusion or retaliation. Furthermore, the court ruled that the city of Louisville must pay nominal damages for obstructing her freedom of speech. Just days ago, the city of Louisville agreed to pay $800,000 in attorneys’ fees for violating Chelsey’s First Amendment rights. Praise God that Chelsey can now put this infringement behind her for good, and that we can celebrate with her that we still live in a country where we can live out our faith without fear. LET US PRAY… Father, we praise You for the courage of Chelsey Nelson and the strength that she has displayed in standing strong for Your truth about marriage. Lord, we praise You for this monumental court victory that upholds and protects our First Amendment rights. Lord, we praise You that this lawsuit has concluded with our First Amendment rights protected. Father, may we never take our precious First Amendment rights for granted and always stand in defense of them. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Let Us Pray: Historic Rulings Should Compel Kentucky to Protect Kids from Social Media Harms “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 18:10 For some time now, a multitude of studies have been published proving that social media platforms are addictive in nature and greatly harm the social and mental development of children. Thankfully, just days ago, the New Mexico Department of Justice won a first-of-its-kind trial against Meta for its abundantly clear endangerment of children. On Tuesday, the jury in the landmark case of the State of New Mexico v. Meta Platforms, Inc. found that Meta’s social media platforms of Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram failed to protect kids by allowing sexual exploitation. Due to Meta’s failure to protect children from sexual predators on its platforms, the New Mexico jury imposed a nearly $400 million penalty on the company. A day later, in a separate landmark case, a Los Angeles jury found Meta and Google liable in a $6 million verdict related to their addictive features targeting children. In light of these historic trials, the Kentucky Senate should be compelled to pass House Bill 227, which would protect Kentucky kids from social media harms by requiring parental consent, banning addictive features, and preventing the collection, sale, and misuse of children’s data. HB 227 by Representative Matt Lockett has already passed the House with a unanimous vote of 96-0, but to date, HB 227 has not moved forward in the Kentucky Senate. The Kentucky Senate needs to act at this opportune time to protect Kentucky’s children from predatory social media companies. Kentucky families and children must be put ahead of the social media giants that seek to make huge profits at the expense of addicting and harming our children. LET US PRAY… Father, we praise You for these important rulings that are holding major social media companies accountable for endangering children. Lord, please convict and compel each member of the Kentucky Senate to vote in favor of HB 227. Father, please use HB 227 to protect children and strengthen parental rights in Kentucky. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

BREAKING: Kentucky Senate just passed a bill banning taxpayer-funded advocacy on ballot measures. The vote was 29–8. It already passed the House 75–16. It now goes to Governor Andy Beshear. Anyone violating this law would be guilty of a misdemeanor.

A New Mexico jury found Meta guilty of failing to protect children from sexual predators. Cases like this are why HB 227, sponsored by Rep. Matt Lockett, are so necessary. Our children need your help to ensure that they are protected on these social media platforms! Call your senators and voice your support for HB 227. nypost.com/2026/03/24/bus…

Let Us Pray: KY Students Win Big As General Assembly Overrides Gov. Beshears Veto "Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” – Ephesians 6:4 One of few notable actions so far in Kentucky’s ongoing 2026 legislative session has been the General Assembly’s final passage of House Bill 1. This legislation opts Kentucky into a new federal education tax credit funding program, which was created by Congress in H.R. 1. The tax credit funding program allows qualified participants to make donations to a scholarship-granting organization (SGO), which will go to fund numerous scholarship opportunities for public and private school students. Taxpayers who donate money to an SGO will receive a federal tax credit up to $1,700. Sadly, Governor Beshear used his executive power to veto HB1 as he once again chose ideology over Kentucky families and students. The Governor deceptively stated that the legislation redirects public dollars to private schools. Governor Beshear stated, “With House Bill 1, the [Republican] supermajority is at it again, wanting to use a federal tax credit to divert public dollars to private schools.” The Governor is being intentionally misleading in his statements, as this legislation in no way will have an impact on the state funds collected for public school education in Kentucky. Thankfully, the Kentucky General Assembly, acted decisively to support Kentucky families and students. The Kentucky House and Senate overwhelmingly voted to override Governor Beshear’s veto of House Bill 1, delivering an important win for Kentucky families and students. LET US PRAY… Father, we praise You for the final passage of House Bill 1 that will provide numerous opportunities for Kentucky students. Lord, we are thankful that the Kentucky House and Senate acted decisively to overwhelmingly override Governor Beshear’s veto of House Bill 1. Father, may these new scholarship opportunities for Kentucky students be an enormous blessing to our students in the Commonwealth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Let Us Pray: Gambling Wreaks Havoc on Kentucky Families “Better is a little with righteousness than great income with injustice.” – Proverbs 16:8 While Kentucky is no stranger to gambling, in 2023, the Kentucky General Assembly passed the largest-ever expansion of government-sponsored predatory gambling when it “legalized” sports betting. Since that time, the predatory gambling industry has wreaked havoc at unprecedented levels on Kentuckians and their families, with calls to Kentucky’s problem gambling hotline having more than doubled in volume. Gambling is not as harmless as some have touted, saying it is simply a “good time.” The reality is that gambling addiction is just as serious as any other addiction, whether it be to opioids, heroin, or cocaine. Heartbreakingly, the addiction to gambling carries with it the highest suicide rate of any addiction. These facts are why The Family Foundation has long opposed the expansion of predatory gambling. In order to protect, love, and care for our fellow Kentuckians, we must continue to diligently oppose the predatory gambling industry. Sadly, just last week, House Bill 904, an unconstitutional expansion of gambling that “legalizes” fixed-odds wagering, was given final passage in the Kentucky House. Make no mistake about it, expanded gambling in Kentucky only means one thing: expanded destruction for Kentuckians and their families. In recent years, the Kentucky Council on Problem Gambling reported that up to 165,000 Kentucky adults reported gambling problems. Nationally, the top demographic calling gambling addiction helplines is now young adults and teens. The statistics of growing gambling addiction among young people is devastating, especially among young men. Roughly 10% of young U.S. men now show signs of a gambling problem, more than three times the general population rate. As HB 904 now resides in the Kentucky Senate, the Senate needs to remove HB 904’s fixed-odds language and move forward a bill without any further gambling expansion. Thankfully, the bill is not a total loss as it does raise the gambling age to 21 and prohibits some harmful forms of “prop” bets. The Kentucky General Assembly needs to put its foot down and say no more to unconstitutional expansions of gambling, as the predatory industry is already wreaking havoc on Kentuckians. LET US PRAY… Father, empower the Kentucky General Assembly to see the destruction that the gambling industry is wreaking on Kentuckians and say no more to it. Lord, convict and move the Kentucky Senate to remove HB 904’s fixed-odds language and move forward a bill without any further gambling expansion. Father, help Your people to realize that gambling is an unwise use of the resources that You have blessed us with. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Let Us Pray: Federal Legislation Introduced to Ban Abortion Death Pill “You shall not murder.” – Exodus 20:13 Days ago, U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) convened a press conference where he introduced important new pro-life legislation. The “Safeguarding Women from Chemical Abortion Act,” would ban chemical abortions and protect women. This legislation’s aim is to remove the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) decades-long approval of the Mifepristone — the abortion death pill responsible for the overwhelming majority of abortions in the U.S. The legislation would make distributing and labeling mifepristone for pregnancy termination a violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. It would also help protect mothers by creating a private right of action for women harmed by the abortion death pill to sue manufacturers for damages. At the press conference, Senator Hawley said, “The science is clear: the chemical abortion drug is inherently dangerous to women and prone to abuse. Yet major companies like Danco Laboratories are making billions off it… That’s why I am introducing new legislation to ban the use of Mifepristone for abortion and empower women to sue its manufacturers. Congress must act now to protect the health and safety of women.” Congress needs to act immediately on this legislation, as chemical abortion made up 63% of all abortions in 2023, and that percentage has only gone up over the last couple of years. Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger (R-TN) will introduce companion legislation in the U.S. House. In the same vein as this legislation, Rep. Nancy Tate and Rep. TJ Roberts introduced HB 646, "An Act Relating to Pharmaceuticals That Terminate Life" this legislative session in Frankfort. This legislative measure guarantees that anyone who willfully violates Kentucky’s pro-life laws by supplying or participating in the illegal trafficking of life-ending drugs into Kentucky can face significant criminal and civil penalties. This bill must be passed in Kentucky to provide much-needed protection for the unborn, mothers, the elderly, those with disabilities, and more. Unfortunately, to date, leaders in the General Assembly have not allowed this life-saving legislation to move forward. LET US PRAY… Father, we pray that the U.S. Congress will pass the “Safeguarding Women from Chemical Abortion Act” to ban chemical abortion, protect and empower women, protect the unborn, and protect states’ pro-life laws. Lord, we pray that the Kentucky General Assembly will pass HB 646, which seeks to protect human life and help stop the trafficking of abortion death pills across Kentucky. Father, please bless both of these God-honoring legislative measures. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Gambling harms Kentucky, but the #KYGA26 is considering yet another unconstitutional gambling expansion in HB 904. It's time for conservatives who care about upholding the Kentucky Constitution to say enough is enough. We were grateful to join @TheKyVoice to discuss this important issue.
