Yesterday I took my classes to a local pond for observational drawing & photography- to inspire their community inspired watercolour paintings. They were reluctant to go; then after, asked if we can go for nature walks more often? Nature feels good! #sd36learns #outdoorlearning

Many “best practices” were created for a world that no longer exists. In the face of change, the routines that once moved you forward often become the ruts that hold you back. No practice is ever perfect. The day you stop being open to improving is the day you start stagnating.

Lost Shoes - a commemorative art installation honouring the lives of Indigenous children lost at residential schools in B.C. & Canada. These ceramic shoes created by Sullivan Heights students, symbolize the 215 children whose lives were lost at the Kamloops Residential School
