@gaggio23 We have been keeping a close eye on Boros Energy since the rebalances. We want to keep the deck viable without being dominant in the metagame. So far the data shows the decks is in a good place both from a win and play rate perspective but we will continue to watch. #wotcstaff

@DavidFinseth David, I really don't understand the historic part of the banlist. Boros energy was nerfed in Modern, a format far superior in strength compared to Historic, but no ban was done to nerf boros/mardu ajani in Historic, which is clearly the top archetype even after the digital nerfs

@coL_Amazonian One change I noticed on him, I think when his ability trigged you could see your opponent highlight cards in their graveyard so the card they selected wasn't that secret! >.> I think they changed it so it no longer highlights cards when choosing for his ability... Maybe!

At least take away his ward or his power/toughness if you're going to give this rat flash. Nashi is already a very strong card in Historic Brawl.

@UsmanTheRad I appreciate the feedback! I expect rotation to change the format, especially with LTR rotating out. Our data shows that Heist is popular, especially in some ranked tiers, but the win rates are well within reasonable ranges. We will keep evaluating after rotation tho #wotcstaff

@SaffronOlive I wrote the Arena updates for today’s B&R and can clarify. All cards play a role in the matchmaking but commanders matter significantly more. Our data suggests that this method of pairing players is working well and we will continue to tune it. #wotcstaff

Huh, this note on Brawl is interesting. Is it saying that playing cards like Mana Drain or Paradox Engine have an impact on matchmaking, or am I misunderstanding? I know your commander played a role in matchmaking, but do individual cards as well?
