£10 FINE FOR FLASHER ⛔️⛔️⛔️ A sex offender who repeatedly exposed himself at train stations to lone females and children has avoided prison and instead is fined £10 Leon Clarke, 49, from Sutton, admitted exposing his genitals intending to cause alarm or distress on seven occasions in the last year. Two of the offences took place at Cheam Station whilst one happened at Herne Hill Station. The other offences took place at various stations in London and Hertfordshire including Romford, Woodside Park and Croxley Green. Clarke appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 27, and was sentenced to a one-year community order and a £10 fine. He was also given a five-year sexual harm prevention order which bans him from approaching, touching, or making any attempts to communicate with any unknown female in a public place. The order also bans Clarke from sitting next to or opposite any lone female or child at a railway station or on public transport except where there are no other seats available. Clarke has been added to the sex offenders register and will be required to register with the police until 2030.

A 67-year-old man, who abused a number of young people between the 1970s and early 2000s, has been jailed. William Woods has been jailed for over 30 years William Woods appeared at Chester Crown Court on Friday 15 August, where he was jailed for 31 years. The sentence comes after the 67-year-old of Lawton Street, Congleton, was found guilty of 57 offences, including inciting children under the age of 14 to commit an act of gross indecency, inciting boys aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity and attempted rape. The court heard that for three decades, between 1976 and 2006, Mr Woods subjected eight children from the Northwich and Crewe areas to a torrent of sexual and physical abuse. As a football coach in the local area, Mr Woods would regularly be in the company of young people and would establish a position of trust with their parents and garnered an influence among the children themselves. Mr Woods would then go on to isolate these young people from their families, often taking multiple children on trips out or inviting them to his home, where he would force them to act out his depraved fantasies on himself and each other. Alongside his campaign of sexual abuse against these children, the jury heard how he locked and left one of his victims in a cupboard for a prolonged period of time. The case would come to Cheshire Police in 2018, when officers were approached by one of Mr Woods' victims who bravely came forward to disclose the abuse they had suffered. Officers' subsequent enquiries into this victim's case resulted in the uncovering of seven more victims, all of whom had been sexually and physically abused by Williams Woods at one point between the late 1970s and early 2000s. Throughout the investigation, Mr Woods was interviewed several times, consistently denying the allegations outright. He was arrested in 2022. He would tell police that he had never met several of the victims and that the ones he had previously met were lying about being abused. Despite remaining adamant that he was innocent, "William Woods used his links to young people in the Crewe and Northwich communities to hand-select his victims, gaining the trust of both them and their parents going on to exploit them on trips away, days out, or visits to his home. Their efforts have been paramount in securing today's sentence.

RAPE GANG JAILED ⛔️⛔️👏👏 Three men have been jailed for a total of 18 years for the “calculating and evil” sexual abuse of a young teenage girl. A court heard they saw the 14-year-old, who was running wild, as easy prey and plied her with drugs, alcohol and cigarettes. Mohammed Zackriya, 21, of Springfield Road, Keighley, was jailed for eight years for oral rape and five offences of sexual activity with a child. Judge Peter Benson told him he was cunning and manipulative beyond his years. He gave the girl cannabis and alcohol and raped her on their first meeting. His victim, who is from the Skipton area, told police he was evil and had brainwashed her. Mohammed Shabir, 36, a father-of-five, of Hawk Street, Keighley, was jailed for five years for three offences of having sex with the girl at Caesars takeaway restaurant in Newmarket Street, Skipton. Wig-wearing Shabir, nicknamed Shabby, was 18 years older than the girl who was wearing her school uniform when she first went into Caesars. Judge Benson said Shabir gave her cigarettes and food and tempted her with endearments. She became filled with self disgust, saying she was giving him sex for cigarettes. Shabir was jailed for a further six months for contempt of court during the six-week trial. He shouted threats and racial abuse at a witness and tried to get out of the dock. Mohammed Taj, 37, of Broughton Road, Skipton, was jailed for five years for three offences of having sex with the girl in his car. The judge told the men each saw the opportunity for gratification with a vulnerable young girl. During the trial, she was cross-examined closely while the three men showed a level of callous hypocrisy that was repugnant, he said. Zackryia’s barrister, Nikki Peers, said the girl was sexually experienced from an early age. She was already damaged when she met Zackryia who was only four years older. Michelle Colborne, for Shabir, said he did not use force on the girl. He was a hard-working family man of otherwise good character. His family had been subjected to hate and security cameras installed at Caesars. “Skipton is a small town and people don’t forget,” Miss Colborne said. Stephen Couch, for Taj, said he was a family man with three children and no previous convictions. After the case, senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Pete Martin, said: “We are very pleased with the outcome following a very long and complex investigation. “I would like to pay tribute to the victim at the centre of this sickening crime. It took extreme courage for her to come forward and seek help after suffering abuse at the hands of a number of very calculating and evil men. “The sentences go some way to redress the wrong which has been done, although the victim is still trying to come to terms with what has happened to her. “We hope that the successful conclusion of this case will encourage more victims to come forward. Sexual grooming and internal trafficking is a heinous crime and can affect anyone, regardless of their background.”

JUDGE TRACEY LLOYD CLARK ⛔️⛔️ Judge Tracey Lloyd‑Clarke delivered what campaigners are calling an “unfathomably soft” sentence to 31‑year‑old Egle Zilinskaite, who kept the remains of her two newborn babies concealed inside her home in Maes‑Y‑Felin, Wildmill, Bridgend. Police discovered the infants’ bodies after attending the property. Officers described the scene as deeply distressing, and the investigation triggered a major forensic operation. Yet despite the seriousness of the offences and despite the judge’s own track record of sending people to prison for far less serious conduct, including social‑media posts Lloyd‑Clarke imposed a two‑year suspended sentence, meaning Zilinskaite will not spend a single day behind bars. The judge accepted Zilinskaite’s claim that she delivered both babies alone and without medical support, and that her actions were driven by a “distrust of authorities” based on experiences in Lithuania and the UK. She told the defendant that although the offences were serious, the deaths were “not her fault” and that she recognised her “loss.” The sentence - 200 hours of unpaid work and 15 days of Rehabilitation Activity Requirement - has been condemned as “a disgraceful failure of justice” by safeguarding advocates, who argue that the court has once again shown more sympathy for offenders than for children.
