Meaningful to connect with PEI's Jewish community last week as we enter a sacred time for both our faiths. The United States stands with the Jewish community as cases of antisemitism continue to rise.

Spring is near, change is in the air. After more 4+ yrs hosting a national talk show on Corus, I’m heading back to TV news to be Global BC’s Legislative Reporter/Anchor. A privilege to join such a great team. Thanks to all who tuned in and 1000+ guests who shared their time

When I hear someone (Michael Solberg on #PnPCBC) say "we've finally seen Poilivere as we've never seen him before..." I think, true. But I also think, how many iterations have Canadians seen and which one can they trust?

@Ben_oharabyrne It may also bring (totally standby) Congress back in the picture to earn their constitutional keep on spending and military legislation.

Not a huge surprise but you never know with the current US Supreme Court. It won’t impact the sectoral tariffs hitting Canada hardest and the Trump admin will find new ways to keep other tariffs in place, but it’s another sign of pushback against some of thx obvious excesses

I was born in Moncton, NB, raised in Riverview, NB, went to university in Sackville, NB. I now live in Halifax, NS. My mother was from Westville , NS and my father is from Kentville, NS. Everybody with the name De Adder has roots in Nova Scotia. My mother was a Joyce. My grandfathers cousin was Ron Joyce of Tim Hortons. No, we got none of the money. My grandmother got Ron to send my mother $600 for hockey equipment for my brother in the 80s. That was all we ever got and we appreciated it. She was divorced and broke with three boys. My brother was a competitive hockey player. I was very fortunate just to attend university. And I'm very fortunate to make a living drawing. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't appreciate how fortunate I am.

Saying why hasn't PM Carney done more, "it's a year since he became Prime Minister, basically" claims Fred DeLorey on #PnPCBC. No it fucking is NOT. By the time he got properly settled in with cabinet it's about 9.5 months, with two weeks of Christmas/New Year in there. #cdnpoli

What US liberals have to keep in mind when they hear Carney is that he’s is playing to a domestic base of older, liberal Canadians who have always hated the US. Not to say he says nothing true—just his motives are suspect because he panders to longstanding Canadian pathologies.
Aaron Rupar@atrupar

Carney: "American hegemony in particular helped provide public goods, open sea lanes, a stable financial system, collective security ... this bargain no longer works. Let me be direct. We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition ... recently, great powers have begun using economic integration as a weapon. Tariffs as leverage ... "

This is insane. Trump just wrote a letter to the prime minister of Norway essentially saying “you didn’t give me the Nobel Peace Prize so I’m choosing to invade Greenland because of it.” This is INSANE. It’s about to get a lot worse.

Seriously? What kind of question was that? It wasn't a question actually, but rather an imaginative presentation of our negotiations with China. Cda acquiesced to a plan to pit one part of the country against the other? This isn't journalism. It's akin to what we see south of us.
Scott Robertson@sarobertsonca

VASSY: [China] effectively pitted one part of the country against the other. If we have acquiesced, as it appears we have, what does that tell them again about the next time? MOE: I actually disagree entirely with the framing of that question.
