@ExMosPostingLs Did you get to talk to any angels when you were dead?
English

@LightOfAntioch @Manhattva @micah_erfan But without a judgement; there is no requirement from anyone to pay legal fees associated with a bad lawsuit for those that 'won' the lawsuit. If you know you have a hung court, I'd choose where the lawsuit originates from, and use a lower Court to determine national policy
English

@DavidKTodd @Manhattva @micah_erfan I would hope the bakers would win. But ya i guess it would just go to the decision before it was taken up by the Supremes
English

"Democrats are going to pack the Supreme Court."
My brother in Christ, you are a Senator from Utah.
The Utah Republican Party just packed the State Supreme Court in retaliation for a ruling they didn't like.

Mike Lee@BasedMikeLee
Democrats aren’t joking They’ll nuke the filibuster Then pack the Supreme Court Then award statehood to DC and Puerto Rico, making it unlikely that Republicans will ever win another election for decades Let’s nuke it now and just creat an even playing field
English

@LightOfAntioch @Manhattva @micah_erfan OK, so they don't have to bake the cake? So the bakers win the lawsuit? That's still a decision.
English

@DavidKTodd @Manhattva @micah_erfan Of course not. Perfect example.
If the courts are deadlocked over a tie, then society continues on as if legal action was never taken.
English

@Manhattva @micah_erfan It should be an even number like 8.
I'd rather have them tie and not come to a conclusion on certain polarizing topics.

@ChaoticDrewtral @TaleMasterTOV @CutWithout "You know who I'm talking about, fellow Mormons! The guy who works with the youth for the Reverend!"

@SandyofCthulhu In Half-Life: Alyx you are gripping in the dark sewers in VR, when you come to an opening to a dark corridor and see a hanging corpse with a flashlight at the end of it.
You know that the dark corridor is full of baddies waiting to jump scare you, which is all better in VR.

Lessons from designing horror since 1980: When making impactful horror, the scariest moments are those people imagine up.
One of my signature ploys in Doom was empty rooms with a pedestal. Atop the pedestal would be something good, like a BFG. The player stares at it KNOWING something bad will happen when they grab it. Of course they grab it anyway.
The point is the anticipation of the event is scarier than the event. When all hell breaks loose the player isn’t scared then - he’s frantically running and gunning.
Anyway that’s my example. What is a ‘nothing happened yet’ moment in a game or movie that terrified you?

@HippoGeneral0 @CaptOnthePath @Mericamemed Can confirm, mana can be green or blue depending on the world (Whichever it is, the other color is both). But red is always health.
English

@CaptOnthePath @Mericamemed The red one?
That's a health potion. It may be liquid Tylenol.
You're looking for blue.
English

@StanaitisRock @conorjrogers Look at Utah counties vs Iowa counties.
It's a good idea in theory. But States can adjust their counties to get more votes without Federal intervention. Then you'd see States changing country lines creating districts out of thin air with little to no oversight.
English

@conorjrogers My solution to Gerrymandering is elegant and simple. County lines and borders. Counties become districts. No exceptions. Problem solved 😇

@Sloanius @RST_0fficial Jokes are really only funny when they play off of the truth.

If you were an outsider to the Mormon culture, you might make associations that weren’t totally correct.

@SwerveMonroe @Kevin4Liberty @WarRoomArchives This is akin to All Quiet on the Western Front when Paul goes home on leave and listens to all the armchair generals talk simple terms on how to end the war, not knowing that people far more intelligent and vested than them were doing everything they could.
English

@Kevin4Liberty @WarRoomArchives Oh, wow. Why didn’t their militaries think of that. Hear that everyone? Kevin Smith figured it all out. Pack it in. Drone war is over…
English

@FiredUpCoug It's true. I have never skateboarded on the walls specifically for the reason.
English

@Osinttechnical I wonder what Lloyd's of London thought of that.
English

@Manhattva This is an actual honest to goodness job for the Feds. The States are ridiculous on their water rights, the Fed could step in and say we are moving water from the great lakes and cooking the reservoirsin the West.
But here we sit.
English

We could pump infinite water throughout the entire Intermountain West, all the way down through the deserts of the west,
For about 1/10 of what the United States spent on funding the Ukraine war.
This is not a joke.
Dr Manhattva@Manhattva
The Mississippi river flows at a rate of 522,000 ft.³ per second. The Colorado by comparison flows at the rate of 22,000 ft.³ per second. We could literally double the flow of the Colorado river, and the Mississippi wouldn’t even notice it.

@Grownded The staff. Wands are for fairies and witches.
They are feminine.
