Children, many with lighter skin color, born near a British military base in Kenya, are now receiving answers about their fathers. "Nothing like this has ever been done before, where you're engaging DNA testing on such a scale" in the UK courts, said UK lawyer James Netto, according to BBC. There are currently about 100 documented cases of children being born near the British Army Training Unit in Kenya to British soldiers, but Netto believes there are many more. If a case is confirmed, the children will be able to register for British citizenship in most cases. Children under 18 will be eligible for child support.
