Why does anyone entering a scr comp need GP scores? Easy for them to do a comp only 'elite' algorithm in the background.

In 1931, due to the dominance of batters over bowlers, the wicket was enlarged from 8 inches to 9 inches wide and the stump height increased from 27 to 28 inches. Around the world, by and large, the bat is dominating the ball. Is it time to increase the size of the wicket again? For context, in 1798, stumps were only 24 inches tall. They increased to 26 inches in 1819 and to 27 inches in 1823.

@NCG_com I like foursomes. But having worked all week I dont want the only real game of golf I get on a weekend to be hitting half of the shots, some of which will be chipping out of a bush or tapping in a 6 inch putt. If I played more golf I'd have no issues with foursomes now & then.

@ukgolfguy @bamabearcat Ive long been over the pricing at these places. Much prefer a game at Seaton, Appleby, Seascale etc tbh. As a member of a top 100 course I'm rapidly getting sick of the annual sub increases also. Higher fees, more course closures for events, winter mats for 4 months..

I normally defend golf ticket prices by pointing out that you can spend an entire day watching it as compared to 90mins at football or 80mins at rugby. But the Ryder Cup is a different beast. Fewer players, less shots... Guts of £500 for a day ticket is a nonsense.
