The far right try to claim our flags but in truth hate our country. They despise what makes the rest of us proud & makes us British, from the NHS to our BBC. They peddle anti-British propaganda globally. Thousands may march today but millions more stand against hate & for Britain

I hope the usual suspects don’t embarrass themselves (in vain, no doubt). We should be proud that the Scottish Parliament is capacious enough for singular people like Q to get a shot at political representation. And I’m pretty proud of @scottishgreens at the moment

@HumzaYousaf Oh just sod off you fecking twat, nobody gives a flying f**k what you think anymore. Just piss off back into obscurity you failure 🖕🏴

Shameful
A young minority politician - who has broken no rules - is elected. Days after their election such is the abuse they suffer they have to be escorted by additional security staff.
Those who have led the pile on to Q Manivannan should take a long hard look at themselves.

Starmer’s just appointed James Murray as the new Health Secretary the man now running the entire NHS.
And this is how he defines a woman when a actual woman challenges him:
Woman: “Do you think it’s a bit strange that you’re a man telling me, a woman, what a woman is?”
Murray: “I think a woman is an adult female and a trans woman.”
Woman: “An adult female… and an adult male?”
Murray: “You and I disagree on this.”
Let that sink in.
The bloke in charge of women’s wards, maternity care, single-sex spaces, rape crisis services, and NHS safeguarding can’t or won’t admit that women are adult human females. Full stop.
This isn’t nuance. It’s dangerous ideological capture at the highest level of healthcare. How the hell is he going to protect women’s rights and safety when he thinks biological males can be women?
This appointment is a disgrace. Women’s health and dignity are not up for debate or “disagreement.”
We’re watching you, Secretary Murray. Closely.

I welcome HMRC’s conclusion, which has cleared me of any wrongdoing.
I have been exonerated by HMRC of the accusation that I deliberately sought to avoid tax.
When purchasing a home of my own with a mortgage, I did not own any other property and had no personal financial interest in the court-instructed trust set up to manage my son’s financial award. I was advised by experts that I should pay stamp duty at the standard rate.
I set out to pay the correct amount of tax. I took reasonable care and acted in good faith, based on the expert advice I received, and HMRC has accepted this.
I have always sought to act with integrity, and I believe politicians should be held to high standards - that is why I resigned from government and cooperated fully with HMRC.
I wanted to ensure that I paid every penny that I owed, and have done so. I am relieved that my family can now move on - and that I can get on with my job.

@chris_sutton73 The penalty is very clear: handball and elbow to the opponent's face.
The debate is only happening because a team that isn't part of the Zionist establishment won the match and probably the league.

A lot of talk again about VAR and referee decisions.
I wonder what VAR would make of this scandalous decision, from the vital World Cup qualifier in 1977 between Scotland and Wales.
Scotland’s Joe Jordan blatantly punches the ball, yet the referee gives Scotland a penalty, and even commentator Archie Macpherson is bought!

@nialljclarke Phew, for a minute then I thought Sid Snot was launching a bid for the Labour leadership 😉

English

@SirNotTomFarmer Exactly and as you can clearly see he's also elbowing the Celtic player in the coupon and pulling. VAR should have awarded 3 penalties just to be sure 😵💫🤯
English

@pieandbov Worst VAR decision, surely that has to be Saints third goal against Hearts at the SMISA that was disallowed and to this day nobody knows why🤷.

The morning after the night before.
Firstly, it’s 2026, let’s stop using still images to try and confirm anything that happens on a football pitch. Video brings context.
Secondly, and related to point one, for fucks sake use some common sense. An image showing two balls and an English Premier League badge on the Motherwell shirt is actually being circulated by some people as “proof” of what happened 😂
Thirdly, unless you are genuinely blind, I think we can all agree on one point now. The ball absolutely DOES hit his hand, the evidence of that in slow motion and zoomed in, is absolutely clear.
Fourth, the distance on the ball is because Nicholson does indeed head it, but he heads it with his hand between his head and the ball. Again that is absolutely clear when you watch it zoomed in and in slow mo, IMO.
So, and this is only my opinion of course, the only debate to be had is about whether the hand is in an unnatural position or if his hand has ended up there because of contact from Trusty.
For me, whilst his arm isn’t making his silhouette bigger, you can’t really say it being on his forehead is a natural position 🤷♂️
Whether a nudge by Trusty pushed his arm up there is I suppose up for some debate but that’s pretty subjective, again IMO, and could be argued either way.
So, despite the initial furore, by me included, I genuinely can see why this has been given.
In terms of “the worst VAR decision of all time”it’s not even close to being as bad as either of the penalties Hearts didn’t get just three days ago at the same ground.
Most neutrals, me included, want Hearts to win the league, and that incident last night was massively disappointing, but I think we all need to calm down a bit.
What it has shown though, is that we desperately need more and better camera angles if we are stuck with VAR, and we also need much clearer and consistent decisions on handball cos we are making an absolute arse of dealing with it up here.
Some refs give what others don’t, and it’s incredibly frustrating (again see Fir Park on Sat night).
That’s my 2p worth anyway, all I know for sure is it’s a very good time to be a football forum owner 🤪
