@iocyberpunk You're right, I feel. Any author sales events or this terrible website especially is a massive dog eat dog world where authors are just in a room of only each other trying to be the loudest voice with empty questions and false interest for the sake of being the center of a topic.

I’ll probably delete this later but I’m questioning why I still pursue this art form. It wasn’t always like this but “book people” are repulsive now. Always looking to tear someone down for a microscopic chance to go viral. Books were better when reading was a loner’s hobby.

@AuthorGoodwin @RenardReads The more I look, the more I think your designer used ai and didn't tell you. The key note is to look at a detail and think "why would they make that?" There's a lot of that about, and otuer elements have that overly clean quality about it that is usually indicative

GenAI is still incredibly new. Self-published authors were clearly doing SOMETHING to get book covers without AI before it existed. Hell, you can make a free cover with Canva & stock images. A Demonstration: AI Cover Canva Cover
