So let's get this straight: @GavinNewsom tried to ban gas-powered cars & handed (hands?) EV buyers ~$2500+/car to encourage EV adoption. But because he's addicted to GAS TAX revenues, he now slaps EV owners with a "road improvement" tax that negates the main reason for owning EV

Got in the mail a $696 registration fee to the CA DMV for my Tesla on a renewal. Why? Road Improvement Fee (RIF), aka Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) fee, which offsets the lack of gasoline tax revenue that EVs don't contribute to road maintenance

This information is available on the CDSS website’s facility search, which they refer to as their transparency page. Her screenshot is half the page.

Dangerous. The governor’s office @GavinNewsom is now limiting parents’ ability to search for violations at family daycares by disabling search fields. At JAMA, SHUKRI FAMILY CHILD CARE, state inspectors found violations for missing infant sleep logs. During an unannounced inspection on a Tuesday from 12:40–4:20 PM, there were 8 enrolled children and ZERO present during normal business hours.

The senseless killing of an innocent and unarmed wife and mother by ICE agents today in Minneapolis is shocking and tragic and should never have occurred. And it happened because of the brutal and racist policies of the Trump administration that unleashed these agents in Minneapolis to go after a specific population - Somalians. Our hearts go out to the family of Renee Nicole Macklin Good, who was the mother of a 6-year-old child. Make no mistake, this new wave of ICE agents descending on American cities is a purposeful campaign of fear and intimidation by the administration meant to distract from Trump’s cruel policies that have tanked the economy and are impacting everyday Americans who can no longer afford basic needs like health care, rent, utilities, medicines, and groceries. Violence like this does not exist in isolation — it undermines public safety and strikes at the very foundation of our democracy. It’s atrocious, it’s dangerous, and it’s un-American. We stand with immigrant communities against terror, abuse, and dehumanization. And we stand in solidarity with the people of Minneapolis.
