Starmer has, in my view, steadily undermined the “special relationship” with the United States in order to steer the UK back toward closer ties with the EU. He has no clear mandate for this and appears to be acting against what many see as the democratic will of the electorate. It raises the question: can we still say we are living in a functioning democracy?

@Jenny_1884 @WindmillRoad1 If you claim benefits now you can’t just write in a book and say you’ve looked you have to show it with internet searches emails applying for jobs etc. This idea that you just ring up or apply and you get money with no checks is absolute fucking nonsense and an out right lie.

Who agrees that those on benefits who choose not to work should be made to do some sort of community work in their local area to earn their benefits? This would then encourage them then to go to work rather than the taxpayers paying for them just to sit on their backsides & do nothing.
