In 2023, I felt inspired to revive my father's business and honor the Owuland name. With the support of my family, I made the bold decision to relaunch the business, even though I hadn't worked alongside my father before his passing.

“They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.” - 1 John 2v19. Happy Sunday to all Christian faithfuls, again 🙏🏽

Why join the ADC in the first place. How terrible can you be that you opened your eyes and joined the coalition only to betray it again.

Mohammed Sani Takori was Nat’l Secretary of the NDC until recently when he left on health grounds and took appointment as Senior Adviser in NDC. Takori just resigned from APC last Monday and remains a close ally of Bello Matawalle in Zamfara State. Agbado everywhere 🐍🌽👎🏽

Can’t emphasize how good this movement from Saka was. Robinson checks his shoulders 4 times, Saka waits until he reaches the edge of the box & quickly changes direction & speed right after the 4th check. Made him feel safe before attacking the blindside.

Off-Ball Movement is Your 12th Player. Barcelona, Bayern, PSG have all answered the “How to beat the current m2m meta?” question in this last CL round. But beyond all the rotations and position swaps, it still comes down to the small battles. Win the “duel before the duel” and everything else opens up More 👇🏻 footballanalysishub.com/post/off-ball-…

This guy reminds me so much of Buhari. Poor track record boosted by aura, anecdotes, and the unsubstantiated feeling that "he's not one of them". Me I learnt my lessons from 2015 sha, never again. Everybody must show evidence.

Fun fact: Atiku has contested only 3 Presidential elections. 2027 will be Obi‘s second run. That serial loser tag will go round soon enough.

Meetings in 2 different continents of the world but betrayers would always be betrayers because betrayers always put themselves first, solidarity be damned and the people be doomed. Eyes on the goal always, may the people prevail.

Atiku has actually shown the capacity to be reasoned with and sacrifice for others at several points in his political career. In the build up to the SDP primaries for the 1993 elections, he stepped down for MKO Abiola with the understanding he'd be picked as running mate. Having won the primaries, MKO picked Babagana Kingibe instead. In 2003, even though he had the support to upstage Obasanjo in the PDP primaries, he backed Obasanjo. We saw how that played out. The problem is that people have identified Atiku's ambition as an obstacle to be destroyed rather than an interest that can be negotiated with or accommodated. And because it is to be destroyed, it is being demeaned and treated with disdain - even by former allies, people who he's never done anything to.

One thing that never fails to humble me whenever I read political history is how a politician can be so popular, only to fade away with time - fade away completely. How one loss or defeat just wipes away their entire political history and deletes them from public consciousness. I’ll give examples, one from each geopolitical so you’ll understand how deep but fickle politics is: Bala Takaya was a fierce politician aspiring to be Governor of Adamawa alongside Atiku in 1992. They were both in SDP and their supporters clashed so much that the military regime disqualified both of them. Takaya died in 2017 and not many remember him today. From Osun in the SW 1992: Isiaka Adeleke, Ade-Ogbo Odeniji and Dosu Oladipo were the three main contestants. With Jelili Adesiyan as his campaign manager, Oladipo won the first round of the primaries with 14 out of 22 Local Councils while Adeleke and Odeniji won in 3 each. An aspirant needed to win in two-thirds of the councils which was 15, and so a run-off had to be conducted. Odeniji was persuaded to step down and the second time around, Adeleke won the primaries. Then struggled to defeat NRC’s Bayo Salami with just 5,000 votes. I know Tinubu recently gave Dosu Oladipo an appointment but not many know him these days anymore in Osun. From Enugu in the SE - the NRC was the dominant party for most of the political bigwigs and Rev. Hyde Onuaguluchi contested with Dr. Joe Nwodo for the party ticket. Their supporters were so fierce and in such a manner that various security reports to the military government indicated that things could become really violent if they were not disqualified and the clash could become inter-communal as Joe Nwodo was from Nsukka while Onuaguluchi was from the Agbaja Cultural Zone. Both of them were disqualified but the Nwodos quickly drafted Joe’s younger brother, Okwesilieze, into the gubernatorial race and he squared up against Gbazuagu Nweke Gbazuagu who was popularly called GNG. Okwy (as he is called) defeated GNG easily and continued the trend of the Nwodo dynasty. From Jigawa in the NW, Sule Lamido enjoyed the backing of Abubakar Rimi but he and Yusuf Sanni were involved in a long-drawn battle to clinch the party ticket. Both men were eventually disqualified but the SDP rallied quickly behind Ali Sa’ad Birnin Kudu to win the state against Buba Aliyu of the NRC with 239,410 to 120,011 votes. Of all those big names, Sule Lamido is the only relevant one today. In Kogi for the NC, the politics of expediency played out as both parties picked their flagbearers from the majority Igala ethnic group of the state. Dr. Stephen Achema was popular but the PDM structure in SDP wanted Silas Daniyan, an Okun man, as the flagbearer and ensured that everytime he lost the party primaries to Achema, the process was scuttled and held again – repeating the cycle four times until two weeks to the election when Achema was confirmed. By this time, Achema had lost tactical ground and Audu, running with Ola Akande, an Okun man – won the election. Audu went on to become a powerhouse in Kogi politics, his opponents who were more popular than him in 1992 are not remembered anymore. From the SS I’ll use Bendel State to honour one of our Egbons here: Ambrose Alli was a medical practitioner and at the University College in Ibadan had been very popular for forming the UCI Action Group Students Union which had 31 out of the 441 students in UCI as members. Ambrose Alli was chosen to lead the UPN charge with Demas NPN had the great Anthony Enahoro as its Chairman and Daniel Okumagba as candidate but Alli defeated them because Enahoro and Okumagba were at loggerheads. Okumagba is renowned in Urhoboland today but Ambrose Alli is more known nation-wide. The difference between being forgotten and being remembered as a politician is just one step or misstep. May History ever guide us.

Has Peter Obi moved to the National Democratic Congress? It almost seems like he’s uncomfortable with internal party democracy. Regardless, I wish him well there. That said, I would encourage his supporters to focus their energy on unseating BAT. Atiku shouldn’t be seen as the primary obstacle in that effort. In my view, there is also a deeply rooted “anti–Northern Muslim” sentiment within parts of the movement. If we’re being honest, the underlying objective often appears to be stopping what is perceived as Northern Muslim dominance, with other issues taking a back seat. At the end of the day, that narrative is difficult to mask, and many people can see through it.

People who believe a politician is doing the country a favour by contesting for the post of president always amaze me. It's more amazing if they strongly convince themselves that once that exact politician isn't on the ballot, they'd rather stay, suffer and die. There's a thin line between this and idol worship.

Atiku as former Vice-President and GCON holder will always be respected in any room by the protocol of the Federation - even if you don’t like him. ADC exco standing to welcome him doesn’t mean he’ll get the ticket - it’s just protocol working in favour of his politics; no fear.
