@JustinScottx89 Well the complaints about forechecking and actually skating back for D and not cherry-picking were legit. They kept coming up because he kept doing them (until last season).

@JustinScottx89 Yeah know I got the sense that DA was done with him. That was the reason he was traded.

@David_G_Mueller Put a talented player with him? Preferably a 2C.

@JustinScottx89 His defensive game did improve, but that seemed to make his offense tank. I’d say he swung too far to defense last season. He basically just needed to get back sooner and forecheck more.

@David_G_Mueller I love the St. Louis blues but everyone glazing has got to stop Kyrou had his flaws but his defensive game was vastly improved and you brought in two guys who are worse defensively. I don’t understand these people man lol. Blindly following.

@JustinScottx89 Yeah. I think Bergren is going to have to produce or he will end up out of the lineup. Trouble is there isn’t really a goal scorer to put on the line Dvorsky centers. I think that 3rd line RW is going to be a mix of Buchnevich, Bergren, and throw in Steiner. Move Dube to 4th line

@David_G_Mueller Nikishin can be both offensive and defensive. Parayko’s reach makes him valuable. You’re talking about a 6’5 & 6’3 defense pair.

@JustinScottx89 Parayko has become a stay-at-home defenseman. I think those back problems limit his offense.

@David_G_Mueller Parayko can easily play with Nikishin.

@JustinScottx89 McTavish won’t suck, but he won’t be good either. Their defensive system really only punishes when there are only 3 players back so he just needs to occasionally get the foot speed to get back as the 4th player.

@David_G_Mueller Gonna be interesting but I think most people don’t realize how screwed we are if McTavish sucks defensively and DVO doesn’t become a 2C. Like people are in denial of the repercussions if it fails.

@JustinScottx89 Sorry, Nikishin. His production seems best when paired with with highly mobile defenseman - Ghost was like that for years and bounced back from being banished to the desert. Who is that on the RD side? Don’t think there is one.

@David_G_Mueller Then you lose a winger you traded for to move Kyrou. This teams especially the 2nd line to me is missing a certain goal scorer on the 2nd line. I think McTavish can rebound but still not completely sold this is all gonna work like everyone else.

@JustinScottx89 Yeah. I am not sure Lindstein and Suter are quite high enough in value. What about a Connor McMichael straight up? Blues have enough playmakers.
