@RacingTerritory during the summer I would rather a night race on Sunday’s since that allows people to have fun during the day then tune in when they get home at night. Also gives people at track a break from the intense heat. Judging by track attendance it looks like a win to me.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. came over to Cleetus McFarland in post-race. Looked like they had a nice conversation with Jr. leaning in the window Cleetus finishes 35th but a much smoother race this time in terms of just keeping it on the track

@FreddieKraft I’d argue the fields Busch went up against in Busch/nationwide/xfinity and trucks were better than most of the cup fields of the 50’s until the mid to late 80’s when independents started to get priced out of the sport

The camera, for sure, wasn’t a problem. The little animation of Digger getting spooked by cars coming at him and digging back into the ground, every time they went to the camera shot, and the Sunday morning pre-race cartoon segment, certainly didn’t help the ratings, though.

Let me try to defend Ferrari here. Cars aren't cool anymore. Most people don’t dream about sports cars anymore. They want SUVs or trucks with comfort and safety. Ferrari was built for a world where cars were emotional objects. That's all gone. This car is the non-alcoholic beer of cars. And a lot of people have quit drinking alcohol.

Hot take: it’s a scapegoat. They’re afraid of making a successful electric vehicle that will have them questioning their entire business model - while also disappointing their biggest fans of the last century. So they make ugly EVs and if they don’t sell well, they blame it on the electrification so they can keep the fossil fuel industry happy.
