@Haggis_UK What he is saying is anyone can be a carer in social services wonder if he could do it . Caring for people is a skill and should be rewarded fairly .

🗣️ Prime Minister's Questions❔ I'm asking the first question which is always for the PM to list his official engagements for the day. I then get a follow up question which I will use to raise an important issue. Tune in from 12:00 pm today.

@ShaunLintern @wesstreeting To stop corridor care we need a united service where patients see GPs , patients only come to A&E appropriately and social care is fixed. Hospitals are constipated patients can’t be discharged as lack of social care beds . Also we need a 24 hour 7 day a week in hospitals

Health secretary @wesstreeting tells MPS: "I want to be clear, I will never accept or tolerate patients being treated in corridors. It is unsafe, undignified, a cruel consequence of 14 years of failure on the NHS and I am determined to consign it to the history books."

@unisonyh @unisontheunion Phlebotomy is a band 2 role. Maybe they wouldn’t be so poorly paid if unison hadn’t accepted the last 10 year deals . All unions should be fighting for pay restoration

The first Labour budget in 14 years is going to massively impact our members and public services. Good public services require proper funding, and this budget finally begins to deliver the investment needed after years of decline. unsn.uk/4fElhcN

Thank you @sarah_bool for delivering an important speech on diabetes care in the UK in a Westminster Hall debate yesterday. In the debate she explained what both the Government and the NHS can do to improve standards and ensure all with type 1 get the treatment they deserve. #GBDoc #Type1Diabetes

@theRCN Strike action is possible but what about asking for 15% long term recruitment and retention payment until nurses issues are addressed

A record number of you voted in our consultation on the NHS pay award in England – thank you. You are the Voice of Nursing. You voted to REJECT the 5.5% pay award – the UK government must hear that message. Read more: bit.ly/3THZEjd

NEW: there is an increase in the risk of death among patients exposed to low nurse staffing or high proportions of temporary staff. The risk of death associated with low nurse staffing is only partly mitigated by using temporary staff to remedy shortfalls jamanetwork.com/journals/jaman…

Yeah, there’s like a million good reasons to have anxiety with type 1 diabetes. Running out of insulin. Running out of CGM sensors. Running out of test strips. Severe low and can’t get to food. Severe high and can’t get to insulin. Stomach bug that sends you into DKA. Trying to make your blood sugar work with the plans non-diabetics have for meals or exercise. Insurance company denying coverage for insulin or pump supplies or CGM sensors or all of the above! The cost of all this stuff that keeps us alive! The people who lecture us every time we eat anything. The people who lecture us every time our blood sugar isn’t perfect. The diabetics who criticize other diabetics. The non-diabetics who keep asking if you’re gonna lose your feet and die like their grandma did. The fear of going to sleep at night and hoping your blood sugar doesn’t crash. Going to sleep at night and hoping your pump doesn’t fail. Okay, I’m tired. What else gives you anxiety with type 1 diabetes? You’re definitely not alone. #anxiety #type1diabetes #t1d #mentalhealth #insulin

@rita_rdevlin29 @RCN_NI Racism needs to be called out wherever and whenever it rears its ugly head. There is no excuse for racism. NHS treats patients irrespective of race , ethnicity and views. There is no excuse to abuse NHS staff ever
