Name another song that mentions the word "Eye" or "Eyes." 🎶 Written by Bob Crewe & Kenny Nolan and originally recorded by The Four Seasons in early 1974, the song "My Eyes Adored You" hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on March 22, 1975. Motown had balked at releasing the song, so Valli bought the recording for $4,000. After some rejections, Valli succeeded in getting the recording released on Private Stock Records, but the owner wanted only Valli's name on the label. Although it is credited as a Frankie Valli single, the record includes the entire group.
