@fasterfreedom Personally I’m liquidating my houses into the stock market. The rising cost of houses, interest, rates, property insurance, property taxes, AC units, hot water heaters, roofs, paint, and literally everything else has made it very hard to be profitable in the rental game.

You can’t call the bank and say: “I’d like to borrow $240,000 to invest in the S&P 500.” They’ll laugh at you. Ask for $240,000 to buy a rental property and they’ll hand it to you. The bank has been telling you which asset they trust more for 100 years.

@fasterfreedom That’s because they can foreclose it. Often the returns of the S&P are better when you consider all of the costs and you never have to go unclog a toilet on your Saturday if you are in stocks.
