Do you have any catchphrases that you use when teaching? One of mine is: "Is it going to tidy itself?" What's your catchphrase? #SaturdayEduChat

@secretHT1 I don’t mind working hard. I enjoy working hard when I can see that what I am doing is having an impact on young people. I object to working hard to prove I’m working hard!

We will never be able to reduce workload to nothing - always pinch points, stressful times and paperwork. We need to reduce pointless work that serves one purpose - external evidence. While there is high stakes, it’s hard to resist wanting everything to hand. It takes bravery.

Where I grew up (Manchester), tap water was called “corporation pop.” In Denmark, it's sometimes known as gåsevin (“goose wine”), in Italy, l’acqua del sindaco (“the mayor’s water”), and in the Netherlands, gemeentepils (“local council pilsner”). What does everyone else call it?

Random question. Do all primary schools still have wet play? If you do, is not letting children outside about ratios, clothing, timings or something else? Thank you.

In prior years I've done loads of past SATs papers with Year 6. Spread out and not overdone, but definitely 4 or 5 lots over the year. This year I've done the 2017 in Nov and the 2022 in Feb. Do I think it's been detrimental to do less? Not in the slightest.

@Ka81 Your teenager sounds fab. I have also have an articulate, empathetic teenager. It gives me hope that despite the mess we are making of things at the moment, there will come a time when these wonderful young people will sort it out!
