The replies to this post back up the piece perfectly. Criticism is fine, as is feeling Liverpool might need a change, but so much of this strays into outright abuse. You wouldn't be surprised if Arne Slot was a little withdrawn on the final day because he has seen this stuff.

I’ll say it again. I was a never Trumper in 2015. I couldn’t stand the guy. His first term gave me mixed emotions, but ultimately, the smear attack of Justice Kavanaugh forced me to vote for Trump in 2020. I stayed up and watched the election. It was absolutely rigged. I watched the disaster of the Biden “presidency” and the faux anointed of Kamala without a primary. I enthusiastically voted for Trump in 2024. He has absolutely earned my trust and I’ve realized how much BS I believed from the media and spouting mouths about him. I have no clue why he’s not wiping his ass with Thune right now, but he’s holding off for some reason. I don’t like how expensive gas is, but Iran has been at war with us for decades and we finally have a president and an administration with brass billiard balls to kick their teeth in. This president is the best of my lifetime. All the podcastlandia mouthpieces are desperate for attention. Trump is desperate for results. He’s got my confidence. He’s earned it.

The failed assassination plot shows Iran’s true colors (and why we must make sure they never have a nuclear weapon). They hate America and they clearly see President Trump as the man standing between them and death to America. That’s why they’re targeting his daughter. It’s sick.

Just found out from a friend of mine at the club - Slot is gone! He’s not been sacked but it’s mutual from both parties for a clean break. It will be announced next week, they’re trying to get Iraola as a replacement. Take it with a pinch of salt but personally believe it 🥳

Iraola scares me a bit because from Potter, Frank and Rodgers, we've seen that overachieving midtable managers don't take the leap well. But you know what, he plays the best football in the league, has Bournemouth into Europe, seems likeable and is an upgrade on what we have.

Those not interested in changing LFC manager now are just being perverse. There’s not a status club on the planet in any era that wouldn’t make the switch. And the trajectory that suggests LFC wont make the change is seemingly being governed by men who have no loyalty to the cause in the immediate, never mind medium term, future.

I just can’t believe I’m seeing people pin tonight on Slot. An inferior 11 away to a team with fortune in their side and we still bossed the game for periods. It’s been a microcosm of the season too. You can take so many of these results this season and absolve Slot of blame.

I do not care what’s going on with injuries….. reigning premier league champions should NOT have the same amount of loses as 2 promoted teams Leeds and Sunderland. Slot has to go that is NOT acceptable, the buck lies with you, and managers have gone for less a lot less.

You have to hope that the fresh start a new season provides can change things for Alexander Isak, but it’s gone about as poorly as it could so far for a player who cost £125m. For that sort of money, you should be getting guaranteed return.

@davidlynchlfc Meanwhile we are obsessed with Arne slot leaving but we ignore the elephant in the room... Squad depth and quality. Villa had the luxury of calling on Sancho, Douglas Luiz and Barkley ... and they went up a gear in the second half.

Tonight summed up why so few Liverpool fans believe Arne Slot can fix this. Yes, this side is short in attack and signings will help, but they won't sort a midfield and defence that have been shambolic all season. So, without a change of head coach, how does it get better?

The boos were directed to slot - why are players being left to think it was their performance. Granted they’ve been up and down but to totally allow this narrative to run that Slot is void of any blame is shocking. End of a bad season and we should be building them up and that includes from inside the club!

@ChloeBloxam It might be that he could not do the full 90. In the latter stages he tired and he was having 2-3 players on him when he got the ball.
