There is no longer such a thing as a safe Labour seat. The Green party can absolutely win anywhere. Gorton and Denton was Labour’s death rattle, thanks to Starmer New from me for @TheCanaryUK thecanary.co/opinion/2026/0…

Speaker Lindsay Hoyle was on a jolly to the British Virgin Islands when he says he learned Peter Mandelson was apparently a flight risk (unlikely). No surprise he was in the Caribbean. Long been branded ‘long-haul Hoyle’ at our expense, spending more than £320,000 of taxpayers’ cash on foreign jaunts up until last summer since becoming Speaker in 2019. He spent more than £200,000 on first and business class plane tickets plus tens of thousands more spent on chauffeur-driven cars, stays at luxury five-star resorts and restaurants. During a previous Caribbean tour in March 2023, he shelled out nearly £5,500 chartering private planes to hop between the islands of St Maarten, Montserrat, Anguilla and Antigua. In 2024, he spent £22,000 for a five-day trip to meet his counterpart in the Cayman Islands, staying at the Westin Grand, where his room was billed at £679 per night. His snout. Our trough. They really do take us for fools.

There are just some limits that no government or administration can talk their way out of. The Epstein files and the genocide in Gaza are the events that define this in our lifetime. Those that have sought to suppress, justify, and victim shame will go down in history as some of the most disgusting, depraved, and morally bankrupt politicians ever to have existed.

You have helped facilitate genocide. You have sought to throw grannies behind bars for opposing that genocide. You will lose. You will be remembered only as a monster, and one day, it is politicians like you who will end up behind bars for facilitating the crime of crimes.

The Court acknowledged that Palestine Action has carried out acts of terrorism. It concluded that its actions are not consistent with democratic values and the rule of law Supporting the Palestinian cause is not the same as supporting Palestine Action. The Government's proscription followed a rigorous process, endorsed by Parliament. I will fight this judgment in the Court of Appeal.

@OborneTweets @BeatsSurrender The British political class is toxic .The expense scandal only just touched the sides of a system also shrouded in secrecy, privilege, shadowy associations , patronage and indulgence and as an electorate we are kept in the dark while the political establishment serves itself .

The Epstein files expose a corrupt system that functions in the interests of criminal elites. New Labour was and is a core part of this system. Jeremy Corbyn stood against it. No wonder Mandelson worked to destroy him. I write for Middle East Eye: middleeasteye.net/opinion/epstei…

@Iromg @RachelReevesMP Starmer accuses Mandelson of lying as he sits beside another Pinochio??!! It seems that the ability to decieve is a prerequisite for members of this government something that Keir Starmer leads by example.

Alan Bates is considering Privately Prosecuting the Bosses of the Post Office for Corporate Manslaughter. RT If you support him, it is the only way there will be justice.

@ShabanaMahmood You are doing no such thing. You are pandering to the far right, somehow believing that is what the majority want and that it will keep you in power. Unprincipled and hypocritical and an all time low for Labour.

Umm, nope. You're now on the side of CREATING the division! The moment you decided to throw immigrants in as the scapegoat for all that is wrong with this country, you've poured fuel on a fire that could have dissipated over the next 3 years. @reformparty_uk started this rhetoric, but it's just that, rhetoric. @LabourParty have now written the policies to suit, choosing to align with those pushing this narrative just to win votes, instead of tackling the real issue which is the grip wealth has over politics. The issues around inequality and the broken infrastructure in the UK has nothing to do with immigrants and everything to do with policy after policy that protects the 1% whenever there's a crisis, and passes the cost on to the rest of us. It's a shambles.

@ShabanaMahmood It's disgusting how much you are dehumanising migrants and asylum seekers. The "take their valuables" policy is nazi-level garbage. You should be ashamed of yourself.

@ShabanaMahmood Stop performing from the Reform playbook. What you are proposing is neither open tolerant or generous. It's like you're trying to outdo Patel, Braverman & Farage. Despicable behaviour from a Labour Home Secretary. @UKLabour @Keir_Starmer

@ShabanaMahmood We’ve seen regimes before that seized jewellery and belongings from vulnerable people. It never ended well and it never started with “security”. It started with dehumanisation. Britain must not go down this path.
