@Lilywhite_Rose Wonder if this is a 442 with VdV as LB. Tel and Kolo Muani up top. Spence on the right, Xavi on the left

@georgeachillea what do you think n Tudor will do for the athletico match tomorrow? I’m not as pessimistic as everyone else. I think we can do it and I think his 442 vs Liverpool is what he will do to combat their 442

@tapintobs @georgeachillea It was def not a back 5 first half. I thought it was a straight 442 that had specific instructions for Souza and Tel

@DayToDae @georgeachillea I thought it was a back 5 first half as Souza didn’t really go forward. 2nd half looked more like a 4-4-2 especially when Souza went off and tel moved to RM

I get the logic in rewarding players who want to fight for us over those who don’t, especially in the case of Micky’s, Simons etc. but at home, we need to play differently and will need players who are stronger on the ball to open up the opposition. That means at a minimum, Romero, Micky and Simons are must starts for me v Forest. Personally think we should be playing a back 4 and then I’d go for Tel on the right

@georgeachillea @tapintobs Thought it was more of a 442, tel and Souza weren’t jumping that high bc we weren’t really pressing them high

@tapintobs I quite liked the 4-2-4 setup we had going on out of possession, beats the 3-5-2 any day when our wingbacks are caught in no mans land not knowing whether to go forward or stay back

@tapintobs So does vicario though. It seems obvious to me Athletic Madrid water logged the pitch on purpose and we didn’t have the right studs on our cleats. I bet they switched them at half time. I’m upset too but they scored 3 goals from players slipping within 12 minutes

@NathanAClark We have like 3 weeks between the Forest and Sunderland. I’d give him the Liverpool game and see if he’s adjusted enough. But that forest game is must win

As much as he's not had a single functional XI to work with I don't think Tudor is giving us anything positive tactically. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I do actually think a 'vibes' coach like Ryan Mason might be the better option at this point.

Spare with me this feel sorry for Kinsky crap. Yes it’s shocking management from Tudor but I’ve never witnessed anything like that before. Never ever. He has been rubbish in almost every game he’s played for us from like his 3rd game onwards for us since he’s signed. Man wanna talk about his passing when he lets us weak shots, is also not commanding in his box, crazy error prone. There’s literally nothing good about this signing. He’s awful and should’ve been ditched ages ago

@NathanAClark We actually played pretty well. It’s crazy bc the first 3 goals were essentially slips. The third was an almost own goal. And we scored. I feel bad for Kinsky. They’re all slipping out there.

Five significant slips. Simeone dark arts at play or something. They've oiled the grass and gone double length studs or something.

@SpursOfficial No Xavi Simons or Dominic Solanke in a Champions League game, so not an ounce of creavity in the central area of the park. Only Tottenham Hotspur could dismiss one of the most pragmatic managers in their history in Thomas Frank, to then employ another who’s even more defensive.

#thfc Recruitment is expected to focus largely on players in their mid-20s and over, who can bring experience and leadership qualities. Tottenham failed in a bid to sign Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson in January and he is the type of player the club believe could make a difference – on the pitch and off it. @Matt_Law_DT

@AlasdairGold do you know why Spurs aren’t recalling Yang from Coventry? He’s not even getting on their bench and we don’t have any healthy wingers

@georgeachillea It’s gotta be instruction. Less than a year ago, we weren’t this back-footed. Honestly looked like the players had no idea what to do after the red card into the half. Just allowing Wharton to get time on the ball and play a pass

And even if you aren’t going m2m because we only have 10 men, why is our defence so far apart with 3 of the back 5 actually being on the opposite half of the pitch? This is what I mean by there’s no desire to defend solidly or aggressively because I’ve also seen these issues with 11 men IQ in the bin

Don’t get me wrong, the pass into Wharton was perfect… but what is our defensive shape here? 3 defenders on our right hand side effectively marking 2 attackers far from the ball (Gray shouldn’t have to worry about the ball going to the opposite fullback yet - if the switch was on you have time to shift up) Danso is marking empty space with no one around him making it so easy for Wharton to find a gap, and ofc Tel is focussed on Clyne since he’s at LWB and if he was behind Wharton there would be a very dangerous easy ball through to Clyne Poor positioning from one player can have a huge knock on effect to the rest especially if we are supposedly adopting some form of m2m press…

@jaydmharris Apparently we need 5 on the backline vs 2 and we’ll just sit around and let Wharton pick his pass. What the hell goes on during the week??

@tapintobs It’s got to be Sarr and Gray. Palhinha isn’t as bad as everyone thinks he is right now. But since bissouma is literally the worst player to have OOP in the league, we cannot survive with him playing major minutes. I’d rather play Gallagher, Palhinha, hell even Byfield over him

@DayToDae Again - I think he’s crap these days so if he doesn’t start, I’m very fine with it. Just can’t have a base of palhinha and Gallagher. Has to be one of Sarr, gray or Bissouma
