@SteveMascord I always hope the Wallabies lose. I hate what they represent. I prefer the All Blacks. At least the sport is less elitist there.

Many English rugby league fans want the rugby union team to lose. They feel it doesn't represent them, it's not an aspect of England with which they identify - EVEN IF being English is fairly central to their sense of self. So a variation on what I said last night.
