ℹ️//TODAY//FIXTURE//NL1 @wacfc v @WhitleyBayFC Comp: Northern League Division One Venue: Craik Park, NE61 2YS Kick Off: 3pm 📈CURRENT FORM// West Allotment Celtic 20th | LLLLLL - Their winless league run reached 20 games on Saturday. A 9-0 loss away at Birtley Town last weekend was a seventh successive league defeat. At home they have won 4/14 league games, with a single draw and 9 defeats completing their NL1 record to date at Craik Park. They have scored the fewest goals in Division One with 22 from their 29 games played so far - an average of 0.76 goals scored per game. They have also conceded the most in the division with 75 goals - an average of 2.59 goals conceded per game. This will be the first meeting between the sides this season. Whitley Bay 3rd | WLWWLW - Bounced back from a 3-2 home loss against playoff rivals Boro Rangers last weekend with a 2-1 victory away at Crook Town in midweek. An own goal and a Callum Larmouth strike couldn’t prevent a Hillheads defeat last Saturday. Larmouth again on target in midweek - he now has 11 league goals - with Mackenzie Sharpe clinching the midweek win late on. Sharpe has 19 goals for the season - 17 in league action. They have won 8/14 league games played on their travels, with two draws and four losses rounding out their NL1 away record to date. ⏪LAST TIME// A Callum Larmouth hat-trick inspired Bay to a 6-1 win in the corresponding NL1 fixture last season at East Palmersville. Larmouth opened the scoring on 17 minutes before he claimed his second on 24 minutes. Allotment went into the break trailing by just a single goal as Alfie Livermore netted five minutes before half time to make it 2-1. Lucas Lowey made it 3-1 nine minutes into the second period before Larmouth completed his treble on 57 minutes for 4-1. It was 5-1 on 74 minutes as Mechack Kanda scored. Mackenzie Sharpe brought up the half dozen just two minutes later to wrap things up at 6-1. 🔮OUR PREDICTION// Allotment’s alarming run of 20 league games without a win, combined with the division’s lowest goal tally and highest goals‑against record, leaves them badly exposed against a top‑three side. Bay arrive with far greater quality in the final third, and with Sharpe and Larmouth both in strong scoring form, they should create chances consistently. Celtic’s record offers little encouragement, especially after last week’s heavy defeat, and their defensive fragility is unlikely to withstand sustained pressure. The visitors have been reliable on the road and should control the game from early on. It could be more, but we’ve been in their shoes and it isn’t easy. Football is a funny old game but we cannot see a pathway for any Celtic positivity this afternoon - although for the narrative we’d love it! Allotment 0–3 Seahorses.
