I have to say one very proud dad tonight Seeing my lad lead out the Leeds team, meeting the manager and a Leeds legend. He also met the players. I think a few were only just older than him.

Didcot Town manager Jamie Heapy couldn't hide his disappointment at losing last season's leading goalscorer, Tyger Hall, but he understands why the move to Swindon Supermarine works better for Tyger geographically.  "Obviously I’m very disappointed to see Tyger leave our football club," Jamie commented.  "Lyner, Lewis and I worked extremely hard to fight off interest from a number of clubs to bring him here, so to see him leave after just one season is frustrating, but I guess that’s modern football. "I think the move across to the Central Division doesn’t really work for him geographically, and the increased travelling involved has been a major factor in his decision. "Tyger had a fantastic first season at Step 4 level and has been an absolute pleasure to work with and develop throughout the year. "I’d like to thank him for his efforts and wish him all the very best for the future. Hopefully one day our paths will cross again and he’ll pull on a Didcot shirt once more." Tyger scored 17 goals last season, as well as providing a number of assists, following his arrival from Clanfield85 in the summer.  His form saw him score two goals on his debut against Milton United in the FA Cup, and he was named the player of the month for August by his teammates, and his early season form with the railwaymen saw him rewarded with a contract in the autumn.

@DidcotTownFC It was very sad to hear this news this morning. I always had a good chat about football with Mick. He would often speak of his love for the club despite not being from the area. He also had a great sense of humour. Rest in peace Mick, you will be missed.

Everyone at Didcot Town was saddened to hear of the passing of long-time supporter and sponsor Mick Hooper this week. Mick was a regular at both home and away games, supporting the team, and he was also a huge supporter off the pitch with sponsorship through Vertec, being our main kit sponsor during our promotion season in 2022/23. We would like to send our condolences to his family and friends at this very sad time.

A great event coming to Oxfordshire on Sunday 29th March for Leeds United followers.
