Peter Obi’s NADECO tweet is a powerful atomic bomb. It went straight to its target & nuked everywhere. That tweet pain dem well well. It scattered their entire mandate camp. He nuked the only remaining flex they’ve been managing. What else is there except disturbing our peace with a so-called bogus claim of June 12? Now there is nothing left for them to hold on to. Gani, Chagoury, Abacha and Tinubu History repeats itself, first as farce, later as tragedy (Karl Max) In 1995, I was with Gani in Hotel Presidential. We were defense counsel to Ken Saro-Wiwa and Ogoni leaders. Someone told Gani that the hotel has been leased to Chagoury family. Gani was livid. “Why did you bring me to Abacha hotel? Don’t you know I am at war with Abacha? Don’t you know that Chagoury is Abacha, Abacha is Chagoury” Gani ordered that we leave the hotel that night. The Ogoni leaders who brought us there begged and apologized. But we left. Gani knew Abacha and Chagoury were inseparable. It is ironic that the man who is NADECO and supposedly fought against Abacha is deep in bed with Abacha closest undertakers. Tinubu has changed even what NADECO means. He has blurred all boundaries and destroyed categories Gani would be completely surprised at Bayo Onanuga et al taking orders from Abacha bag men.

APC voices are trying to use the NADECO reference to distract from Tinubu's glaring failures and the shocking insensitivity of his Plateau visit. If you like follow them down that road...

A NADECO member suspended a democratically elected governor and appointed an unelected governor for 6 months. Made the Senate okay it. Then asked the courts to wait until the 6 months are over. NADECO was a fraud. It's now worse than Abacha.

Abacha didn't order the army to shoot peaceful protesters on October 20th 2020. Did he? NADECO people were solidly behind Buhari.

Leadership Without Compassion is Not Leadership During his visit to Benue State in June 2025, Bola Ahmed Tinubu stopped at the Government House but did not go to the actual scene where innocent Nigerians lost their lives. Similarly, yesterday in Jos, his engagement ended at the airport instead of at the affected communities. What happened in Plateau yesterday highlights a complete absence of leadership. True leadership requires presence, empathy, compassion, and a willingness to meet people where their pain truly lies. For citizens who have just lost loved ones, homes, and their sense of safety, being addressed from an airport tarmac is profoundly inadequate. This approach exacerbates the sense of abandonment already felt by innocent Nigerians who have endured repeated cycles of violence without meaningful protection or justice. Plateau deserves more than distant words; it requires urgent action and a clear commitment to ending the insecurity that continues to claim innocent lives. In such moments, leadership must not only be visible but also tangible—standing with victims, listening to survivors, and acknowledging the depth of their grief. If we truly desire a better Nigeria, we must demand leadership that is present, responsive, and responsible at all times. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
