🚨 SOS: Crypto 4 🇻🇪 Venezuela was hit by a historic 7.2 & 7.5 earthquake doublet. Local teams are completely overwhelmed. I launched a project on Giveth to raise funds for on-ground CSOs. giveth.io/project/sos-ve… Venezuelan colleagues and I will assess and oversee the deployment of funds. Hold me accountable.

DAOs are so dead that I see nobody noticed or discussed this proposal that @ENS_DAO essentially dissolves itself and transfers control of the entire treasury (almost half a billion in ENS + stables) to the ENS foundation.

Make all the criticism you want of ENS Labs, the DAO or its current state. But respect ENS. Honestly, one of the best things my wallet can do is to sign an IPFS content hash into and have a website published. $5 for 1y of domain is so cheap, and there is so much stuff that it can do that your .xyz is embarrassed to be compared. ENS is open, public digital infrastructure. Right now the discussion is how much do we value the guarantees that it stays so. There is no real part of this discussion on whether it’s valuable. That’s a given, and that’s why it’s worth the fight for keeping it open.

🚀 Just claimed my airdrop from @decleanupnet! Excited to be part of the governance, community building, and funding ecosystem. 🌱 Looking forward to supporting DeCleanup, helping grow the community, and proving that local actions can create global impact. Let’s clean local and prove global. 💚 #DeCleanup #Web3 #Sustainability

Am I reading this right? @ENS_DAO currently has, essentially a sham proposal to move the entire treasury (almost half a billion in ENS + stables) into the control of the ENS foundation, essentially dissolving its own DAO (don’t worry, members of the security council - who happen to also be nominated future board members of the ENS foundation, seem to think this proposal still leaves full control of the protocol to the DAO, bc they still control the Fee switch, and fee direction to token holders) Anddd there’s absolutely nothing that any DAO participant or token holder can do about it, because the founder of the ENS foundation (nick johnson/nick.eth) has delegated himself more than ~50% of the voting supply?
