Excited to be partnering with @bigwil, a longtime @virtuals_io supporter, as he launches his creator index through @pantheonvaults. We believe this is a more transparent and mutually beneficial model for ambassador relationships. Instead of one-sided promotion deals, creator index participants can gain exposure to the same deal flow and projects creators themselves are backing. @bigwil has supported Ratehopper long before launch, and we couldn’t have asked for a better partner to build alongside.
bigwil@bigwil

I'm excited and very pleased to announce that I'll be partnering with the @RatehopperAI team on @virtuals_io through 2026 and beyond as they become the fifth team to join my @pantheonvaults creator index, which is set to launch early next week! I've known the Ratehopper team for over six months and watched them build to this point. They align perfectly with my own vision, and the vision I have for my creator index, which is long-term! They've built for many months prior to launching the $ROO token in recent weeks. Their product, which is the first agentic self-repaying loan protocol, has all of the potential in the world in my opinion! Give them a follow and stay tuned for more details on how you can gain exposure to their project via my creator index!

The crypto market structure bill has PASSED the Senate Banking Committee with a bi-partisan vote! Historic day for crypto and for the future of digital assets in America. Grateful for the countless hours from lawmakers and staff to strengthen this legislation. Big improvement from where we were in January on rewards, tokenization, DeFi, and CFTC authority. I'm proud we stood up for our customers in that moment, and the bill is better because of it. Looking forward to a bipartisan law that cements the US as the world's crypto capital. Let's get CLARITY done.

The Hidden costs of stable LPing via $AERO accumulation or even in general, diminish your rewards without you even noticing More often than not, people rush to LP stable-ish pools that offer two or three digit APRs with tight spreads then end up with a negative PnL due to constant reshuffling, bad strategy and internal price impacted swaps Luckily, with the AERO LP scan, people will be able to assess their real returns and potentially abandon the pair or modify their strategy to become profitable This pair that I have been LPing with a proper strat has been yielding me a real return of 13.17% per annum This number is arguably better than 99% of stable yields out there with minimal risk taken

Grabbed some $ROO on launch: @virtuals_io, still around a ~$6M mcap. This feels early. @RatehopperAI is building something real: AI agents optimize borrowing against $BTC/$ETH & deploy capital efficiently to generate yield. What stands out most, fees generated from agent activity are used for $ROO buybacks. It's more than just a token, it’s the access layer for ecosystem features and opportunities. Non-custodial. Self-repaying loan mechanics. 1,500+ users and 400+ live agents on @Base pre-TGE. Bullish on where this goes. CA: 0xE31700c6BD46638D207991fB5CC5c0daD3D1e3DA

Congrats to the @RatehopperAI team for a successful launch on @virtuals_io ~$6.5m ATH on launch for $ROO pulls in some healthy capital through ACF. The team detailed all of their plans yesterday on @VirtualsWeekly Episode 102, and I've had them at A Tier for a while now so this result isn't a surprise! Using capital to borrow against, and then deploying it to make a healthy margin, sounds simple, but an end to end agentic solution is more complex than you might think. Ratehopper has solved for this, and there's a big blue ocean of opportunity ahead! Despite the lack of quantity on the Virtuals launchpad (it's changing soon btw), we've still got quality!

Personal update: I’ve been dealing with a medical situation recently and for weeks I haven’t been able to operate at my normal pace. Being sick sucks, but honestly, being sidelined from the work I love has been the hardest part. Before building in web3, I spent 20+ years in professional cycling, first as an athlete, then a team director, and eventually a team owner. In sports, you train endlessly, fail often, and still keep showing up because your big breakthrough, the huge victory you’ve been working for, could always be right around the corner. But if you’re not in the race, you have no chance to win. That’s what the last few weeks have felt like. Missing opportunities to meet builders, talk with partners, and contribute to Virtuals like I normally do has been tough. One thing this experience reinforced for me tho is that I’m not built for the bench. I need to be in the game. But when you’re sick, you’re sidelined, and you can’t even take your shot. If you live to build and compete like I do, stay healthy. Otherwise, you’re stuck cheering from the sidelines, and honestly, that’s the worst part. On a positive note, I’m feeling better, and I’m coming back with a vengeance!

The Big.Wil and Goon Show ( Virtuals Weekly )@VirtualsWeekly

Back again for Virtuals Weekly Episode 102! ➥ The launchpad might not be busy right now but we'll always take quality over quantity. We'll be welcoming the A tier @RatehopperAI team to episode 102 and they'll be looking ahead to their launch which comes to @virtuals_io this Tuesday. Top ten in last years ETH 🤝 Virtuals hackathon, this is one not to be missed. ➥ With the Virtuals ecosystem starting to heat up again, we'll be asking whether this is the start of the next season? We'll also preview some of the projects we've got our eyes on. There are some teams primed to explode and we'll be pointing you in the right direction as always. ➥ We'll take a sneak peak at the Degen Arena and review the weeks predictions. If autonomous/agentic governance is part of the future for Virtuals, there might be some lessons we can learn from the Degen Arena AI Council! ➥ Lastly we'll take a look at some hidden alpha from @ethermage from Episode 100. We'll give our thoughts on how we could potentially position early! ↛. We go live at the below times. Set your reminders in the comments and we look forward to seeing you there; Tuesday 8am Australia Tuesday 6am Asia Monday 10pm UTC Monday 3pm Pacific Time

the judges of crypto courts are not textualists (at least so far)

The final verdict from @trueo_’s most contentious market has been delivered. The Jury voted for an outcome Reset. In other words, they ruled that it was too early to resolve the market. But there were some very interesting things about this dispute… For starters, both TRUE holders and Attesters voted against the Oracle Council’s initial decision. The Oracle Council voted 3-2 in favor of a YES outcome (I was among the YES voters). But TRUE holders and Attesters voted in supermajority support of the dispute. They deemed that the proposal came too early, and that Polymarket had not really released a “token” yet. Or did they? I personally voted YES as an oracle council member because I felt like the rules, though ambiguous, were satisfied as written when Polymarket released pUSD. I wasn’t happy about it, obviously it didn’t capture the essence of the market which was clearly meant to be about a potential network or governance token, but I voted YES nonetheless because I felt like the criteria in a literal sense was met when pUSD dropped. But TRUE holders and Attesters felt otherwise. They must have felt like the purpose of the market wasn’t satisfied even if the rules in a very rigid and literal sense were. I know the outcome might not be to everyone’s liking, and I know that some users would have preferred a YES outcome, but I do hope that they at least found some consolation in the process it self. Namely that the various arguments were aired, and that multiple desperate judgements came to pass on the dispute. In the future these contentious markets can be avoided with more precise resolution rules, but there is always some room for interpretation or some hidden ambiguity in the spectrum of possibilities. Getting these things right is very difficult, and ultimately, what I believe is more important than the outcome itself, is the process through which an outcome is derived. All this being said, there’s nothing stopping someone from proposing the same outcome again in hopes that TRUE holders have changed their minds, or that a different batch of Attesters gets selected who are more sympathetic to the resolution. Prediction markets are vey tricky specifically because of their subjective nature. But that’s also what makes them interesting! We still have much to improve on, and we learned a lot from this dispute, but hopefully we were able to prove that we take the concept of due process very seriously. Because at the end of the day, a prediction market is only as good as its oracle!
