Applied for universal credit yesterday and told them I have been in hospital for nearly eight months and cannot walk. So they’ve booked me an in person appointment at a job centre like five miles away. They are literally the stupidest people alive

@matriarchybaby @hausofvee So OP won’t receive PIP whilst in hospital as they assume all of your needs are being met whilst in hospital. However I agree definitely apply now and when discharged payments with start from them :)

@hausofvee No you definitely can apply while in hospital, and you’ll get paid after you’re discharged and they’ll most likely back date it to when you applied. If you apply, ask for the online form not paper so it’s readily available in your hand rather than it being sent to your home x
