After ballooning from $2.8 billion in 2001 to $6.5 billion in 2012, NC state debt fell back down to $2.5 billion by 2024. Conservative leadership wisely retired 62 percent of state debt in just 13 years. #ncpol

@DeanArp @RoneW86465 @TradeNationOne The left will say, "it's the cheapest way to borrow money(see Wake County)!" How strict/lax are requirements for a state referendum to land on every ballot in North Carolina? Hopefully it's not a threat to NC families and can be chalked up to being just a bad idea.

@LibertarianofNC @RoneW86465 @TradeNationOne Know what's cheaper than 4% interest rate ... 0% ! Using the Education Lottery, to build schools as citizens voted intend, doesn't raise taxes and doesn't borrow. Another tax and borrow bad idea from Gov. Typ tired Dem ideas.

@RoneW86465 @LibertarianofNC @TradeNationOne (2) From now over the next 6, we will appropriate about 3.86 billion from lottery $ with no debt. We are not mortgaging our children's future. It costs about 2.4 B to borrow 4 B for 20 years =6.4B. Gov plan to borrow is more expensive and takes longer.

@RoneW86465 @LibertarianofNC @TradeNationOne From 21 to 25 we have appropriated 2.2 billion from lottery $. We are not mortgaging our children's future. It costs about 2.4 B to borrow 4 B for 20 years =6.4B. Wrong to borrow and debt when we are doing cheaper plan

@ForwardCarolina @TheAssemblyNC You're lying. I did provide a quote. In fact, the writers actually only put one sentence of my quote in the article and didn't publish the rest of it. I ASKED that my quote be published in full, but was told they would put a link to my full quote, if they cut it.

The folks at @TheAssemblyNC are out with a bombshell investigation of the shadowy network of evangelical anti-abortion groups disguised as medical clinics operating across North Carolina - and the tens of millions of our tax dollars Republican lawmakers are dishing out to them. The investigation documented how these clinics not only straight-up lie to women, but harass them and even steal their personal information for manipulation. Even better? Most of the taxpayer money isn't even going into services at all, but straight into the pockets of anti-abortion leaders. When Democratic lawmakers demanded more information - where is taxpayers' money going? What are they doing with it? - Republicans blocked their inquiries, and informed the groups they shouldn't respond. Republican legislators like @DeanArp @RalphHise @joycekrawiec refused to comment for the story. Our tax dollars at work!

What the HELL has Congress done to think they deserve a $70,000 per year pay raise? They’re calling it a “cost of living adjustment” But THEY ARE THE REASON the cost of living is so out of control. They should NOT be rewarded for it.

@brianonorio Incredible. How many schools, churches, weddings, funerals, church choirs, sports events, basis of court rulings, EVERY THING was predicted on this principle ... trust lost ... not again.

This is infuriating and was used as the basis to shut schools down. This is unforgivable.

They’re giving Ohtani $70M each year for 10 years! The US population is only 350M. They could’ve given each of us $500,000 and still had money left over to make Ohtani the highest paid athlete in the world. $500,000 is life changing. What do you think?
