Throwback to 2022 when the warrant was put out for Kinahan Tyson Fury was probed on this by Sky on Whyte fight week. Deflected to talking about the war in Ukraine and that it was “the same” because he’d made millions with Klitschko Crazy stuff

I wish I had something profound to say. My dad was a difficult person, which is something I have repeated 1000 times in 16 years to strike a balance between honesty and kindness.

Sixteen years ago today, when I was sixteen years old, I lost my dad to suicide. Tomorrow will mark the first day of my life where I’ve lived longer without my dad than I did with him. Half a lifetime later I am still figuring out how to grieve.

Is there an actual rule that states a tackle like Kilman's on Stach is okay because the latter got a shot away? Or is it just something that people have accepted? Feels strange that a clear foul can be committed just because the ball has gone - but happens all the time🤔#LUFC

@MartinSLewis I don't know the solution but 1) any intervention by this government will likely make it more expensive and 2) someone, somewhere is getting incredibly rich from energy and it's definitely not Joe Bloggs!

How would the govt intervene to cut energy bills if needed? Its worth looking at the two previous domestic energy models we saw in recent years. 1. Liz Truss (as PM) reduce energy costs for all. The Energy Price Guarantee reduced bills by limiting the unit rates charged for gas and electricity, with the government saying this would keep (the then definition of a) typical household bill to about £2,500/yr. This was a very expensive route for the state, as it meant all bills were reduced, and by definition the biggest users got the biggest subsidies. Though it did mean everyone got helped. 2. Rishi Sunak (as Chancellor) flat help for all and targeted support. Before that happened there had already been support in place. It comprised a menu of help for different people across slightly different times. Roughly... - £400 grant for domestic electricity users paid over 6mths - £150 council tax rebate for those on Council Tax Band A to D (seen as a proxy for lower incomes) - £650 for those on certain means-tested benefits - £300 top-up for state pensioners - £150 payment for those on certain non-means-tested disability benefits. This was still costly, but not as much, as it was targeted, and the amounts were flat so lower users got the same help as higher. ---------- My suspicion is the current govt is more likely to look at the second version as a model for what it does (though it doesn't look like the payments spread would be as wide or as big)

@henrywinter Darren England is such a bad ref. Blows for nothing, ignores 2 assaults in first 2 minutes by Milner, one of which ends ekitike’s involvement. Doesn’t apply advantage rule for Brighton with options each side. Standard of reffing is shocking

Danny Welbeck moves ahead of Dominic Calvert-Lewin as leading English goalscorer in the Premier League. Welbeck not in England squad. DCL in shootout with Dominic Solanke in friendly v Uruguay for a shot at a World Cup slot. #BHALIV

@MrNickKnowles @SkyUK @skytv After 19 battle hardened years I'm no advocate of sky but as a football fan IPTV option for sport is absolutely no comparison. It lags, is 2/3 mins behind, and just turns off etc Sky cust serv in UK are great, it's the off shore call centres that now dominate 90% of their teams

On behalf of residents I asked the Water Minister to come and see the devastating flooding in West Dorset for herself, and to explain to what they are doing to prevent future flooding. I am extremely disappointed by the Governments response.

@apopey @LeedsUnited_MAD A very poor overall performance from Chris Kavanagh today Adam, where is the accountability for such performances? The game and occasion seemed far too big for him yet he's supposed to be very experienced.
