Hilariously, I’m quite a confident speaker when I’m away from home It’s a Cumbrian thing You’re not supposed to be telling anyone else anything/elevating yourself - was brought up to distrust/dislike that Quite how I came to be doing such things more widely remains a mystery

Spoke at the annual show dinner for Hesket Show last night - one of the loveliest farming shows in the North I’m hopeless at talking to my own people, and rarely do it, so was a bit nervous, embarrassed, and it may have been short… but I don’t think mattered

1/2 Genuinely how do people afford to go to Paris Photo, Arles & more every year. As an artist I’ve had some incredible commissions this year but I can’t afford to get to London, or really take days off. We are constantly told you need to be in the room, so many can’t afford be.

My brother who’s training to be a doctor said that when they have a farmer coming in they immediately escalate the case. Why? Because farmers notoriously never take care of themselves and seek help as the last resort. Let’s change this! #FarmSafetyWeek
