Black was much more competent than his boss and shot his ass for wasting men and resources over wanting to be taller.
Usopp in the anime isn't black and manga wise he never had that tan. On top of that he's a vital crew member and has saved their asses multiple times

Im not even black yet I understand wanting to be represented accurately in a market that typically depicts black people like this. Western and Eastern media have such an issue with depicting black people. Its not crazy for them to ask, "if we're gonna be depicted, dont be racist"

Lot of the accounts I follow on here that are trying to present themselves as being more high brow in taste give me good recommendations but anytime they actually try to analyze shit or talk about art it's mindnumbingly stupid. Deeply superficial in a really insecure way
