Australians who fight for IDF are free to enter the country with almost no scrutiny after possibly committing war crimes, but some women who married ISIS members and travelled to Syria were arrested once the plane touches down. We asked experts why. share.google/htS0kMZqcJgvJa…

“We have decades of evidence showing that policing does not prevent violence, particularly not the kinds of violence that governments claim to care about most.” Article by myself & Dan Vansetten for @RADFaction on why More Police Doesn’t Mean More Safety radfaction.com.au/2026/04/16/a-f…

@AllyRealityally @angijones Actually the term “killed”, used by @DebKilroy is accurate. There is nothing natural about dying in prison. Prisons are death making institutions- from medical neglect to violent harm and assault. It’s not inflammatory- it’s the truth

Join us tomorrow in telling the Queensland government that we don’t accept racist laws that are designed to silence that pro-Palestinian, anti-genocide, anti-apartheid and anti-occupation movement! We have a great lineup of speakers including Senator Mehreen Faruqi, QLD’s civil liberties council, great Palestinian speakers and more 🇵🇸

People are expressing outrage about how Ben Roberts-Smith was arrested, saying it was too public. He was arrested with no cuffs, not a hand on him, despite facing allegations of war crimes. I can’t help but think of the young Aboriginal boy wrongly arrested at gunpoint by the AFP on a Canberra bus. A boy who was wrongly identified, profiled because he was Aboriginal, searched even after police realised they had the wrong person. An innocent child, just trying to get home – publicly humiliated, a gun drawn on him. Where was the outrage then? Where has it been for the hundreds of Black and brown people who don’t survive police arrests, who die at their hands? Spare me your tears for Ben Roberts-Smith. If you have a problem with the police, at least be consistent.

Lidia Thorpe told to stop quoting the vile words of QLD cops who used a choke hold on Indigenous man Steven Nixon-McKellar who died in their custody. Cop: “choke this c*** out” Too vile for our parliament but not too vile for the standards of QLD police. #auspol
